Yeah assuming everything slated for 2019 actually comes in 2019 it's going to be a good year. I was disappointed with their showing but honestly I've got at least one game each upcoming month that I'm definitely getting and it was like that before E3 so maybe I'm just upset there weren't really any surprises that I care about.
So, Nintendo's second half of 2018 is pretty much (just counting Nintendo published titles):
July: Captain Toad (port) & Octopath Traveller (publisher)
August: Go Vacation (port/publisher)
September: Xenoblade 2 re-release with DLC?
October: Super Mario Party
November: Pokemon LGP/E
December: Super Smash Bros Ultimate
So, pretty much like the first half of the year, they have a consistent, if mostly unremarkable release schedule.
Really unhappy with everything I've heard and seen regarding Cyberpunk 2077 so far, so I definitely won't be preordering it, barring extensive pre-release footage that addresses my concerns about it.
REmake 2... I still wish it had the fixed camera angles, but it looks like they're doing a decent job of balancing the action and survival horror elements, so I'm still quite excited for it.
Smash Ultimate looks quite nice. It's a definite upgrade over the Wii U version of Smash 4. But the lack of discussion about gameplay modes disturbs me. I won't be playing it online, and I don't really play the game locally too often, so I NEED compelling single-player content.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
So all-in-all, I felt that this was for the most part a pretty weak E3, yeah, we got Smash and a couple new Switch reveals, and Microsoft did great in my opinion, but no one really had anything new or notable to show off, honestly, I felt that this year was similar in feeling to 2016 with Nintendo, since Smash is the only thing that they are really pushing hard, everything else is kind of supplemental. In terms of ratings, this is what I'd give all of the more major shows:
EA: F (I considered a D, but how they treat consumers is despicable)
Microsoft: B+
Bethesda: B-
Square Enix: C-
Ubisoft: C
Sony: C-
Nintendo: B
Deku-Scrub
Joycon Boy Forever
Currently Playing:
Switch: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
3DS: Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
PS4: Persona 5, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
Game of Show for me was obviously Smash Bros. Ultimate. Easily my most hyped game of the year.
But thinking in retrospect, this was a rather... ho-hum E3 for me. Microsoft brought their A-game to the show, so kudos to them. As for Sony, I already knew I was going to pick up Spiderman (best game of Sony's presentation, IMO), but I wasn't particularly stoked on what I saw yesterday. And let's not even mention Death Stranding. Still have no idea what that game is about and, as such, there is still no reason why I should run out and pick up that game. The Last of Us Part II? I'm probably going to pick that game up when it is released, but... eh.
As for Nintendo's presentation, I went in mostly with Smash Bros, hype, and I got the goods I wanted. I really can't say I'm not disappointed with the show, but I'll admit the Smash Bros. Ultimate segment went on for waaaay too long. The Direct was supposed to be full of snappy announcements, but the announcement after announcement schtick ended with the Smash Bros. segment. It wasn't the best idea to go with that, I feel.
But yeah. I'm guessing we'll see more of 2019 titles in a late 2018 Direct or during the Game Awards. As for now, I'm just going to chug away at my backlog to make room for games coming in the future.
As for my ranking, it's probably gonna look something like this:
1. Microsoft
2. A tie between Sony and Nintendo.
4. Ubisoft
Okay, what games that has been played during 1st day TreeHouse ?
I just only saw Super Smash Bros, Overcooked 2, Fortnite, Pokemon Let's Go, since it was midnight time at my place and i have to sleep.
IMHO, based on a combination of how they were presented and if I want to play it
1. Beyond Good and Evil 2: Totally biased, don't care. Beyond Good and Evil is one of my favorite games, still pumped to see this crazy game. But even better is the return of JADE AND PEY'J. Like, seriously, most people don't care. But I do! We get to see more of the characters I love and I am so thrilled, because I wasn't expecting it. Or at least I thought it wouldn't be a big focus of it.
2. Sekiro (that From Software game you already forgot the name of: God I wish I was good at Dark Souls, I really do. If I was, Dark Souls probably would've been in my top 5 from last gen.
3. Smash Bros Megamix: I kinda wanna put this lower because it's Smash 4.5 tbh, but y'know...it's still Smash Bros. On Switch. I get another chance for current gen GCN controller gaming (I missed out on Wii U) and Classic Mode will probably not be the worst thing ever again.
4. Starlink: Y'know what, I had no interest in the toys to life games mostly because I didn't like the trailers and the gameplay seemed mediocre. But a spaceship shooty game with Star Fox? I'm sold. Almost instantly. Please be good. PLEASE!
5. Every Microsoft surprise: Cyberpunk for exploring that world, DMC5 for someone that isn't Platinum to make a Platinum worthy game, and Below and Ashen for somehow still existing. Also, I completely forgot about Cuphead...
6. Wargroove: **** Fire Emblem and **** Intelligent Systems for abandoning one of the three strategy games I've ever loved. Buy Wargroove instead.
7. Spiderman: Insomniac making their own Spiderman equivalent of Arkham City sounds like a clear masterpiece, but it actually seems too good to be true. I'm not gonna whine because QTEs exist, but I have this odd feeling it's just not gonna be as awesome as it looks (which describes my feelings for most of Sony's exclusive games nowadays tbh (except Days Gone, that game looks blatantly mediocre))
Once again, Nintendo shares are taken a beating. They just keep falling and E3 isn't helping.
If you like Smash Bros then I am sure it was a great presentation. But if you don't like or only have a passing interest in it, that was a poor presentation to say the least.
I cannot see Nintendo selling that 20 million Switches this fiscal year, not with what they have scheduled for release. Smash Bros and Pokemon Let's Go is basically their big first party games this holiday season. No Yoshi, no Fire Emblem. That's poor.

Accessible Armored Core with destructable environments? Yes please!
@kkslider5552000 I somehow missed that Wargroove was at E3! That's neat, I've been waiting to see where it goes ever since Tiny Metal came out...I never did get that one...might just get Wargroove instead.

The thing is Smash and Pokemon are huge system sellers. Fire Emblem and Yoshi can't be compared to them. This year Nintendo seems to be trying to pull in casuals (which make up a lot of sales) and next year with Metroid and Pokemon the hardcore.
Switch FC: SW-4227-6363-7321
Online games:
Rocket League, Splatoon 2, NBA Playgrounds, Fortnite
Favourite single player games:XC2, Skyrim, TLoZ: BotW
While what was shown of Spiderman looked neat, I get the feeling that it could be a little repetitive and exhausting, but I'm not particularly into comic book characters anyway, so it wasn't something I'd be hyped for. Electro looked like Richard O'Brien.
The moment that dropped my jaw was when we were told Kirby could copy the outfits of every other character in Smash. I'm not a 'Smash fan', but I love the idea of it and I loved that Smash presentation. Annoying that they didn't show more games, but the Smash reel got me so hyped. And Daisy absolutely stole my heart, like she always does...
Just hope the single player content is legit.
I liked the look of Death Stranding. Struggling to think of much else that made an impression on me, but I didn't see any of the presentations live.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@Alber-san That is true, both Pokémon and Smash Bros are big system sellers. However, I do question how much of an impact a game can have when it releases just a couple of weeks prior to Christmas, once everyone who is going to buy a new console, has already done so during the October and November rush? Especially when it comes to the casuals.

I'm skeptical that Smash Bros will be a system seller. If you look at the sales data for the series, it looks like Smash games are mostly bought by the hardcore Nintendo loyalists (you can tell by the fact that the Wii U version sold nearly as much as the 3DS version did, despite the massive difference in install base).
Well those people have mostly already got a Switch!
Completely different than Pokemon, which has a very mainstream casual appeal.
