@Dezzy Good thing Red Dead is giving us a bit of a break by making November/December relatively light due to everybody else trying to avoid the game lol.
@redd214
Let me guess from Sony conference.
Even without watching the video, judging from people's comment here, i bet Sony keep provide games that i hate most, right ?
If yes, glad i didn't watch at all their video.
That was...not good. But it wasn't EA bad. It was...obvious they have nothing new to show, but it wasn't helped by some of the game reveals and gameplay being...not...good like Death Stranding, and a presentation style that just had me facedesking on stream.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Completely agree with the much better than expected conference. This is quite exciting to have both Ms and Sony have good conferences. This next year will be really good for gaming. I hope Nintendo can add on to that
Sony's conference is so weird. Games are good. But the presentation was just so terrible. So much padding and talking that really brought down the show.
I'd rank Microsoft > Bethesda > Sony > Ubisoft > Square Enix >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EA though.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
Death Standing and that Samurai game looks amazing! Resident Evil 2 looks great. have not TLoU yet. so, i can't say for sure on TLoU2 yet. Spiderman, looks awesome.

Excluding the insanely boring 45 minute filler at the beginning, I'd say Sony's show was the strongest so far. Tons of high-quality exclusives. I need to see more gameplay for them, though. Thankfully, Sony is having its version of the treehouse broadcasts tomorrow.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
I finally got the Ghosts of Tsushima gameplay I asked for...and I got bored partway through and decided to play a better game about Ninjas instead of watching this garbage. Sony had nothing to offer me this time, at least. Spider-Man...I'll wait until I see actual players trying to play it, every single action felt scripted. And I have more Resi than I reasonably should, considering my general distaste for the horror genre. The more tech advances, the more effective it becomes, and the less I can actually appreciate it. I only liked the PS1/2 games because they weren't actually scary...they were just campy, like the best B-movies that would air around Halloween. I never really wanted them to be above that B level. Honestly...now I feel bad for complaining about Resi6. That game at least pumped the camp to the max, albeit with way too many QTEs that killed the flow of combat.
Nothing else I saw felt even worth mentioning-
Sees Nioh 2
FFFFFFFFFFFF- dangit I missed that one! I mean, it was just a teaser, but at least it was something to get excited about that we hadn't already seen a million times.
...And no, I refuse to endanger my sanity by acknowledging the Lovecraftian elder god that was misidentified as Kojima's next game by our puny mortal minds.
Do you guys remember that one Nintendo Direct last year that had a lot of focus on a few games (I think Octopath, Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade and...something else) but had tons of game in between, some of which were actually cool announcements?
Sony's conference felt a bit like that, except they forgot most of the games between the main ones.
I mean, I felt like Sony's conference last year was almost worthless, it was just the games they announced before. And this was...practically the same. Again. And where are the absurd amount of other games that WE KNOW will be on Ps4? Like, I remember a couple of years ago Sony E3 conference would have as many games as possible, which was awesome. And now they're not, for no adequately explained reason. They're not the only one. but I really feel like they're losing track of the smaller games (or even some of the bigger games), and it's gonna bite them in the *** if they keep it up.
Sony 's was decent. Ghosts and Spider-Man look great(not sure about Electro's look in the game though, screamed generic to me) Still not sold on Death Stranding, I'm not digging the cinematic approach.
TLOU II looks killer, although I do think what they showed seemed, somewhat, too scripted for me. My only concern for the game is that they pull, what I think is the most obvious and predictable story event, Joel's death. If Joel dies, I'll be extremely dissapointed. They can make him have the most heroic death in all of gaming history, and my enjoyment will still be deflated. I guess some of this is coming from my love for the guy, but come on. You can't think up any other way to tug on people's "feels". Honestly though, if it does happen, I could accept, or even be truly moved by it, if they handle his death well. I think my concern for Joel comes from the fact that everything we have seen for this game has been centered around Ellie, which is understandable as I believe that she is the more popular character of the two. If Joel was always meant to die in the sequel, I just wish they would have made this less predictable by the way they're showing the game. Or maybe they're reverse psychologying me to make me think Joel is going to die.
Ghost of Tsushima looks absolutely stunning. I've always felt that feudal Japan has been a severely underused setting, but that might be because I haven't looked in the right places. But man, does that combat look rough. I won't judge it until release of course, but I can't help but notice it.
Spider Man is still Spider Man, but I do hope the final game is more of what was seen tonight instead of all those Qtes from last E3.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was shown for the 50th time. RE2 and Nioh 2 don't really do much for me. That game by the creator of Rick and Morty had an annoying reveal, but, to be fair, I think Rick and Morty is annoying.
Ratings:
Microsoft - A

EA - Z
Okay, so with only Nintendo left, I thought I'd go on a bit of a ramble about PS4/XB1.
The end of year lineup in September and October is super packed right up until Red Dead Redemption 2. After that there's literally only two game with dates for the rest of the year (Fallout 76 on November 14th, Just Cause 4 on December 4th), leaving the rest of the year pretty quite... only for it to become super packed again in early 2019. Red Dead is that much of a juggernaut.
Moving into 2019, pretty much everything was revealed for the year, or at least a big portion of it. The way the reveals went indicated one thing to me: The next generation Xbox and PlayStation are coming soon. 2019 is looking like it will be the swan song year for PS4/XB1, and it's looking like it will be a damn good one.
The Death Stranding trailer was horrible. Lots of walking around and no explanation whatsoever to give us even a vague idea of what the story is about. Not excited for that game at all.
Everything else was really good, though. TLOU2 is a day one buy for me, and so is Ghost of Tsushima, which looks beautiful. Spiderman looks pretty cool, as does Resi 2 and Control, the latter of which gives me heavy InFamous vibes, which is great. Couldn't care less about Nioh 2, but a lot of people will be excited for that one.
Less games shown here than there was at Microsoft by far, but the quality of these games is extremely high. Best conference so far for me.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, there was definitely nothing you would like. I'm sure there will be plenty for you at Nintendo's conference, though.
@AlternateButtons So The Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Spider-Man, Nioh 2, and Resident Evil 2 are all just lame little filler games? Not to mention the other stuff that's coming.
