@Anti-Matter The only worthwhile parts of EA's conference was Unravel 2 and Sea of Solitude, the rest was just EA being typical EA.

Huge news from Square-Enix! Octopath has 8 main characters - and the Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hears and Just Cause games are all exactly as you remember them from yesterday! WORTHHHHH IT!

I lost my hype about KH 3.
Still same mysterious guys that knew secrets and everything about Sora.
Looks like an Arrogant people suddenly appear to tell you that know nothing but they knew everything and you were very pathetic to be naive.
I'm tired with that KH Plot storyline.
Maybe KH 1.5 & 2.5 were my LAST KH games to play.

@Anti-Matter EA Sports being EA sports (chasing dat money), Star War Jedi thingy gets announced by a dude sitting at the crowd with not even a logo, Command and Conquer gets revived...as a mobile game and gets an extended demo with a shoutcast, and anthem is looking more depressing as time goes on. Oh and EA donates to charity saying that we value the mone (ahem)players and restict (sorry my throat) value player experience.

Hmm, I'm curious about the new Pstar game but honestly after scalebound...if Nintendo doesnt fund it I'm only 60% certain the game will come out.

Tomb raider looks great. I really wish squenix had at least said something about DQXI for switch...at this rate im importing the 3ds version.

Square happened. Not sure why, but it was a thing. No Avengers and no Final Fantasy, I expected at least one of them. They ended on the same Kingdom Hearts trailer... Babylon's Fall looked interesting though, and they had another new IP. I completely forgot about the Tomb Raider demo, that looked pretty good too!

@GrailUK @Grumblevolcano They had 15 minute demos on stage before. So if it's four of them, like a 3-minute story trailer followed by a 10/15 minute demo, plus a bit of developer babble, that should fill an hour easily. But I've heard they're also announcing other stuff. Not getting my hopes up though!

@ThanosReXXX All those third party games shown at Microsoft will also be on PS4, and they just got another two console exclusives from Square Enix. I guess they can take a year off? It's definitely weird. I mean, they even shafted Dreams, Days Gone, Concrete Genie for their four big games. It seems they have a lot of faith in those four games. We shall see!

@Ryu_Niiyama Nier Automata happened under Square, Babylon will be fine I think. As long as Square is funding it and Platinum is developing it, it shouldn't be an issue

Shadow of the Tomb Raider was the highlight for me of the Square Enix conference.

Until when they will keep the Real Secret about Organization XIII and about Heartless existence ?
The storyline for me looks like Soap Opera with Nonsense plot & twist.

@Octane Yeah... true. Really the only option. Just wait and see. But for now, I'm gearing up for Ubisoft. They will probably not disappoint (too much). Can't be worse than EA, though, so it's probably going to be good either way...

Looks like same Blah Blah Blah you lost your memories, you know nothing, everything about Organization XIII was still Unclear.
Why the heck some of them Revived after being beaten on KH 2 ??

@ThanosReXXX For sure the X is worth it to a lot of people, especially after that conference. I'm not someone who cares enough about graphics and performance to put that above games like God of War and The Last of Us, but for those who don't care that much about those games, then the X is undoubtedly the better option.

I wouldn't say Sony really has to bring it as of right now, because they've basically won this entire generation and can just cruise on to the next one, especially since the lineup they have is plenty strong, but they do need to make sure they have a strong start with the PS5 for sure.

@ThanosReXXX @KirbyTheVampire The one thing I'll attest to with X1X is....I started with Atari and NES, up through SNES and Virtual Boy, switched to PC Master Race (defiantly and obsessively) for a good decade, then finally said "enough" (actually I said quite a few other things that can't be printed here) with all the problems and annoyances, and in part with the shift to digital (I was firmly physical only on PC...StarForce protection and all! Steam forced me to abandon PC...no way I was doing digital.), and went back to console with a PS3 Phat and a Wii....then ended up getting a 360 because PS3 sucked with everything multiplat. Then the handhelds, and the WiiU....and eagerly got a PS4, laughing at XBox for the past few years. But I have to say, getting the X1X kind of gives me 75% of the good of PC with 80% less of the bad....it's the nicest happy medium I've found since leaving PC. I ended up double dipping and rebuying a number of things I bought on PS for X1 because it's just so much more straight forward to use (caveat: I've never had to reboot my PS4/PS4Pro once.....I've had to reboot the X1X about 5 times due to weird erratic behavior......It's Win10 to the core! ) Sony's interface/feature/design decisions feel so much more Nintendo-like after playing with the X1X. But maybe it's just that X1X is more PC than it is console.

If I had an S, I probably wouldn't be so pleased with XBox, however. It's not a bad machine, but so much of what I love about it I think is X specific. It's kind of the real XBox Two.....while the XBox One was a legit XBox 720. The idea of new hardware from them is slightly terrifying. I have something against the brand and manufacturer....but have to admit it's a good product

@Knuckles-Fajita Nintendo has so many less studios and staff, they just can't crank out content like the others. They threw everything they had at year 1 Switch to get it off to a good start....it was kind of inevitable that this year would be a lull while waiting for the turnaround time to put out the big stuff. Next year is Pokemon (proper), probable MP4, etc....that'll be a big show for them....this year is about maintaining momentum more than wowing crowds I think. It's a great lineup....just nothing to sell the system, mostly stuff to keep existing owners and prospects engaged with it.

@Anti-Matter XBox, and powerful machines in general are definitely not going to highlight that kind of content mostly because, cheaper products can do it fine, and that's going to be more mainstream than the cutting edge of powerful, expensive machines. It's just the wrong product match. They definitely have some...not exclusives, but they had Vesperia, Tunic, Super Lucky's Tales exclusive (Honestly that's a GREAT Rare type platformer, ironically not made by Rare.....), things like Unravel, Kingdom Hearts... There's that content there, but it's not the focus, and it makes sense it's not the focus...that's not what people are buying very expensive machines for, it's what they buy Switches for. Sony doesn't have very much exclusive like that either, and most of what they have, they both have. But, hey, I still like Knack, so I'm an outlier.

@NaviAndMii Bethesda is always a good time, but it's hard for them to "win" because they don't have the scale bigger publishers have. "Online everything" from the company that loved single player was a big 15% deduction to me. Fallout76 I'm tepid about. I've not been happy with the Bethesda take on Fallout overall (nor really Prey. I'm not a fan of the 3DRealms original, but to take the brand and reinvent it seems odd...why nut just use a new brand?) New Vegas was the only "real" Fallout to me on their watch. And that was made by half the team that made the original two. 76 theoretically removes turn based play....(I thought Rage was a game....apparently it was a descriptor for fan reactions to the betrayal of Fallout ) Starfield we saw a satellite dish and a non dated future IP. And Elder Scrolls VI, which, while I'm hyped, is already confirmed to not be on this entire generation of hardware....we're looking at probably 3-5 years out on that. So tempered hype. Their games are great....but in perspective, they told us about new id Software games coming soon, some DLC, and the next half decade of upcoming games from BGS.

Hmmm what are the odds FF7 will have been saved for Sony?

It seems weird they're not showing it. They showed FF15 trailers when it was still like 2 years away from release.

@KirbyTheVampire MS has done a good job positioning themselves though. Sony is all about selling a box to play that catalog of exclusives on. You can't not have one if you're a Real Gamer(TM) (well Thanos can but that's Thanos ) . Too many great games you'd miss. And yet, virtually every single other non-exclusive game is better on the X. Which makes up most of the library on either console. there's a huge audience that can easily get in the boat with MS for most of their play.

I still say the S is a hard sell though. If you want a PC like experience for $450 (this week's price) there's the X. If you want that yummy Sony library, you can get a PS and play the X's games a little less pretty. And if you care about neither...there's the S? I mean if you don't need it to be pretty why not get the PS? (However, I'll point out that compared to the PS basic, the 1X makes the same games look quite astonishingly different...though I haven't compared the same games on the Pro.)

@Dezzy I get this feeling FF7 is spiraling out of control. It was a "fans want this" project Square didn't want to do. Then they did it, and what they showed then fans were afraid they were breaking it. Then they said it's an episodic game. By the time it comes out they'll just rename it FF8.
