@Octane@KateGray hah yeah what Octane means is that we don't really allow multiple posts in a row. You can send them all at once, or add more to an existing post by editing it.
Seeing how you're an admin though, and how this thread seems to be more of a special feature of sorts, I don't think we can do much besides just kindly suggesting it.
@KateGray There used to be a really awesome retro game store in Hali, but sadly closed its doors in 2019.
Besides Rainbows End, there's also 2 shops in New Minas that have retro games. One is called Elsewhere, he has all kinds of different stuff with a retro game section thrown in. The other is Gametronics, a place focused on card- and board-type games, but has a retro video game section which, last time I was there, included physical copies of fan-made games for play on the intended system. If you ever get down the valley, they're worth stopping in and checking out.
@Eel OOPS. Well, I'll do it right from now on. Thanks for not bending the rules too much to suit my mistakes!
@Shadowthrone aw I don't know how often you come to Hali, but I've found some fantastic shops here - like Pete's, which has a British snack section, and World Tea House, where I get almost all my tea
Now that Ghost Trick and Paper Mario TTYD are on the Switch, I have no purpose in life... EXCEPT TO ASK FOR FANTASY LIFE ON THE SWITCH!!! YEAHHHH BOIIII
@BruceCM oh no, it's time for an embarrassing secret:
I had never played a FF game before the FF7 Remake!! Turns out they're really good. Who knew? Now I have to catch up on the last, er, 30 years of Final Fantasy...

Heh, I don't think you're the only one who hadn't played them before that, @KateGray.... I'm certainly looking forward to part 1 of that coming to PC sometime soon
There's plenty of fans of the series to advise you on them all around these forums, though
@Dogorilla yeah it was 5ish years ago now. Itβs weird considering how big Rastamouse was. They even managed to play Glastonbury, I went to Glasto that year and I regret not seeing them now. They are up there with The Beatles, Nirvana and all the other great bands that ended up too soon.
I really like your articles - dare I say more than any other VG writer. They are quite different to most, and honest, but not try hard.
I especially like the Animal Crossing one actually, as I feel exactly the same way. I enjoyed the recent BOTW one too.
New Horizons was my first Animal Crossing and during the first lockdown it was a very welcome "comfort game", so I liked it far more than I expected to. But because of that, for me it will forever be synonymous with that period, and would just feel a bit weird to revisit. I haven't played it since June. Maybe I should though, I feel I'm missing out on such a good, significant game
@Raffles aw, Raffles! That's so kind of you, thank you. Comments like yours mean the world to me, genuinely!
I think I've realised this year that I actually really like games that make me work for it, you know? Like roguelikes, or games with INTENSE inventory management. Animal Crossing is fantastic, but it's perhaps a little too random for me, and there's not really a system that requires any skill (other than decorating skill, which I do enjoy, and maybe bug/fish catching).
That's not to say those stress-free types of games aren't good, but I seem to prefer focusing on trying to beat a goal when I'm stressed, for whatever reason!

@KateGray nice to get an article writer taking time to interact in the forums.
Really enjoy reading your articles and I like your writing style, lighthearted yet still informative.
Take anything I say in the comments with a pinch of Salt as I'm grumpy, irritating (or so my wife loves to tell me) and often don't mean the offence caused.
