Well that was so much better , only we can play that well and still make it such agony , and i dont care what the England camp say Rooney is not 100% right ? I was really worried we might get Ghana as they look quite dangerous , but we got lucky and got the predictable Germans with there weak defence , i think thats just the tonic Rooney needs to kick start his World cup

That was an INTENSE end of game, but in the end Italy goes home. If Italy played the whole game like they did in the last 20mins, they would have won. Paraguay and Slovakia make it through.

The World Champions Italy, knocked out in the group stage by World Cup debutant Slovakia. Unbelievable!!

Not too unbelievable, this has been an underdogs World Cup. There's been a few surprises and this was a big one.

Indeed it is, but still, Italy finishing at the bottom of their group is pretty astounding. And quite amusing too.

Well, I feel bad for the Italian fans for their team getting knocked out so early. But I'm happy that now there is no risk of another team becoming a 5X champion. Safe for at least another 4 years.

@Gmls719 That's a big maybe, from what I've seen of Spain I don't know why people still think they are going to win. I think that this World Cup is leaving Europe and going back to South America, just look at who are leading the groups; Group A - Uruguay / Group B - Argentina / Group C, D, E - No SA teams / Group F - Paraguay / Group G - Brazil (2 games 6 points) / Group H - Chile (2 games 6 points, Spain is in second with 3 points same as Switzerland). Also, I'm sure Switzerland will win against Honduras but Chile won't make it easy for Spain. Spain still has a possibility of going home early. But this hasn't been an average World Cup, so anything could happen.

On a side note: Nice goal for Japan!
