This post is a little late thanks to excessive partying and a killer hangover from yesterday, but anyways. Brazil won 2-1 but they didn't do as good as I thought even though they were mostly on offense. But N Korea did really good, must be because of their "secret training" that no one can see. Still it was a good game, second half at least. Robinho was awesome, nobody has footwork like he does, and Maicons goal (first goal) was easily the most impossibly beautiful goal I have seen this World Cup! @Nintendo-64 There was no destruction, true, but you have to keep in mind that N Korea isn't one of the easiest teams to beat unlike Australia, Ghana, Serbia, etc... Group G is called the group of death because it has good teams (Ivory Coast, N Korea) and excellent teams (Brazil, Portugal).
Well that's that then, time to go full circle. It's been an interesting first round of matches, but no-where near enough goals. I think this is the lowest scoring first round in quite some time. But hey, like I said it's been very interesting, quite a few surprising results that set up some really nice matches to look forward to. For example... Chile v Spain. Haha I was so happy watching Spain lose, I won't go into why. But anyway, if Chile stop Spain finishing top then Spain will probably face Brazil which'll make a nice early exit for one of them, mwahahahahahahaha!.
Looking forward to tonight's match, COME ON SOUTH AFRICA!!! And...
What a goal from Forlan, absolutely yummy. Why oh why did United sell him, waaaaaaaaaah!
Because he was real PANTS ......he couldnt score against a blind folded Rob Green let alone a barn door South Americans just dont seem to be able to do it in old Blighty ??? Forlans been great in both games & Robinho was the best ive seen him play , cant think of one that has managed to do it here ? ........oh yeah but i wont mention him
I think Uruguay pretty much qualified for the second round with 4pts (+3). And with that, South Africa seems like they will be the first host country to not advance to the round-of-16 because of their -3 goal difference. But there's still a chance. Games 2 of group A wrap-up at 2:30 with France v. Mexico.
