Anyone else experiencing the video getting squished in those live chat articles like the Galaxy movie Direct today and the State of Play Japan yesterday over on Push Square. I forgot the name of the mode but it's the one where the video is meant to be bigger and you have the live chat on the right side of the screen.
There's a random article about the new Steam Hardware on the front page. This has NOTHING to do with Nintendo and should not be featured on this website. Furthermore, upon attempting to log in to the Digital Foundry website, it says I need to be a Patreon member which....ew. But whatever.
This feels very shady on NL's part. I get that you need to cross promote things but the cross promotion should at least relate to Nintendo in someway to be relevant. Otherwise, you're just clogging up the front page with ads for other websites. Please correct this and do better.
Would you like to highlight an article about 10th anniversary of Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival this 13 November 2025?
I'm ready to say something positive about Amiibo Festival.
@charliecarrot I stand corrected then. (Although it still feels icky. It's basically advertising the Patreon which also ew...) But still, that's not my main point. Why is it on NintendoLife if it has nothing to do with Nintendo?
@Grumblevolcano there are some controls for you to change the layout when viewing a live blog — but if something isn't right, can you send me a screenshot? to [email protected] and I can look into it.
@TerribleTerabytes thanks for the feedback, however, on this one we'll have to disagree. We cross-post stories between sites on our network when we think they are relevant to different audiences. Very few users are exclusive to one console/platform and have an interest in others; therefore, Steam releasing a new console (shaped like a Gamecube!) is likely of interest to many Switch gamers. Additionally, like any other article that isn't of interest to you personally, there is no obligation to click on it. We saw a large number of users click on the article on NL's homepage, which somewhat proves our point. Naturally we're very selective over which articles get promoted in this way and is generally less than one per day.
@Anti-Matter I don't imagine there's much demand for Amiibo Festival coverage in 2025.
Why not write a letter to their mailbox instead to talk about it?
You must feel pretty silly after looking at the front page today
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
It does feel weird to have people look back on the game fondly when it's something that was poorly made and required you to collect amiibo to even fully get to experience it. As a party game it was probably one of the most boring ones that Nintendo has ever produced. It was just a filler game put on a dying console while the team worked on planning for the next actual Animal Crossing- which didn't happen until another good few years after. It's one of the few games that were left on the Wii U for good reason.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@Anti-Matter this sort of message is probably better suited for Reader Letters
Decent chance they are already planning it anyways. A retrospective on Wii U now that we are 2 generations out feels like the type of thing Nintendo Life often does.
I've seen some user game collections on this site that also have XBox and PlayStation games. I wonder how that is possible, since I have a PS4 game that I would like to display in my games collection 😀.

My top 5 favorite games:
1: Pokémon Violet
2: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
3: Animal Crossing New Horizons
4: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
5: The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
@Nep-Nep-Freak Go to Push Square and Pure Xbox, search for the games you want to add to your collection and they will be added and show up in your collection regardless of which of the 3 sites you'll visit.
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” ― Alan Watts
@Insert_Username, thanks for helping me! I managed to figure it out. It turns out I needed to select a different account setting 🤣.

@antdickens I've been able to test things more thanks to the Xbox Partner Preview live chat thing on Pure Xbox. It turns out that adjusting the page zoom on Chrome while on the live chat page before entering fullscreen mode means the video is no longer squished when you do enter fullscreen mode.
