@Grumblevolcano It felt like Pyoro leaks were being avoided here for a while, but it seems like they are here more. Personally I don’t mind, but it would be nice for there to be vague headlines/homepage images like you said for those who don’t want spoilers. I still think the articles should exist, but should just be kept vague until you click on it.
Would you like to post the article about the games had announced from Wholesome Direct 2024 just now?
I was quite content with the announced games from Wholesome Direct 2024, way much better than Summer Games Fest. 😊
Summer Games Fest gave me nothing, but Wholesome Direct 2024 gave me something.
Also, I have written more than 10 games that looked interesting for me from Wholesome Direct 2024.
To able to accumulate more than 10 game candidates from the Direct is a good sign.
Don't know if this exactly counts as an idea but I feel I should post it anyways. (There is a suggestion at the end though)
A week or so ago, @ThatWeirdGuy discovered an exploit that could be used to doxx someone. Basically, I posted a picture of a cookie jar last year. Using metadata, he figured out exactly where I took that picture (He already knew what neighborhood I took the picture from and I've moved since then, so it's alright). This is not a bug of any sort, but an exploit. Basically, metadata is the data with pictures that usually says where it was taken and what time and sometimes what device. On most sites, like Twitter, automatically delete this once a picture is posted. But here, people use a third part image hosting site, and most do not automatically get rid of the metadata, so when it gets posted here, anybody could view the metadata and potentially figure out where someone is. I knew this could probably happen, but didn't mind so I still posted the pictures. Anyways, I think there should be some caution when writing a message about how you should be careful about what images you post or something. I'm not saying that you become able to upload images from this site, but I'm saying that there should be some warning in place.

@Pastellioli I don't think the coders for NL can do anything (maybe they can? I ain't the best when it comes to IT, but I'm better than a lot of people so hey it's a start) but if they can it'd be great. Also it's really more for pictures. If you were to say post a meme from twitter you would be fine

@EllaTheQueen6 Hm! Got it. Thank you for the clarification I got worried for a second that it applied to all pictures. I was considering posting artwork to the artists thread and didn’t know if it applied to links to social media sites.
@Pastellioli Yeah, the cookie jar image was one I physically took in my home. I was talking about how my mom said I could have it when I grew up and moved out.

i was wondering if it would be possible for a forum thread dedicated to just pyoro leaks, cause its a lot to go through the “Next Nintendo Direct” forum, since its heavily active! just to make it easier for citizens of nintendolife

There have only been two Pyoro leaks so far for tomorrow's direct. If you scroll back the last few pages of the direct thread and look for the huge black spoiler tags you can find them.
I just tried to start a thread to talk about Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection and got a message saying "Message body is too short or vague, include more detail". It was like two sentences long, has there been a rule change which requires something much longer now?
@jump I had that same exact problem! That's exactly what it said to me when I tried making a Super Mario Party Jamboree thread. I was a few minutes late, unfortunately... somebody else made a thread before me and I had to delete mine. I'm pretty upset about that, honestly. -_- Tagging @DreamlandGem about this as well, just in case someone can look at it.

@Ryu_Niiyama we can't link blocks to IPs, as RygelXVIII said there are users on shared IPs and/or IPs are frequently recycled. That being said, I will email you to follow up on this.
@antdickens thank you for responding. I replied to your email.

So, I know that this post will probably be deleted hooefully it will not but we shall see. I feel you need to other clearly define your community rules or reign in your mods cause lately they just aren't making sense. I had posts deleted for harassment yet I wasn't, I was discussion with other users about someone leaving the site in the apporiate thread. However when spammers posts clearly posts that make no sense, derail threads their posts stay. I answer a question to another about why posts got deleted and again my posts are deleted. When users post comments trying to goad others into an argument or are clearly posted to start arguments they are not deleted.
In the end it is your site your rules but all I am asking is that you just make the rules a bit clearer.
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
@Tasuki the rules are pretty clear, they are all laid out and we enforce them as consistently as we can and use our best judgement. You would need to be specific with the different posts you are talking about (which you can do via the contact form), we always suggest reporting said comments and including some rationale, if we agree they break the rules they will be removed, if not, they will remain.
@Tasuki Just as a comment ... Obviously we can't get into specifics since we aren't allowed to talk about specific moderation here, but I've had some mod experience myself on a different site. Sometimes a whole conversation gets deleted because the conversation as a whole has some harassment. That doesn't mean e.g. your specific comment does. I can understand that is a grey area for moderation - should you yeet everything or try to pick and choose which messages to delete and end up with something super confusing which may still imply what was happening?
Are GIFs in the comment sections loading for anyone else? They seem to work just fine in the forums but they don't seem to be loading at the moment in the comments specifically. Wanted to ask to see if its actually a current site issue or just my internet being spotty XD
Here's an example:
The GIF below is supposed to be at the bottom of this comment.
