Perhaps it would be good to make a unique icon for threads that ignore the ignore function. Not too different from the normal thread icon, just something so people can see it before entering the thread.
Maybe a third speech bubble or something like that? Or the main speech bubble with a little icon in it?
@AntDickens: Hi! Do you know where the "Create Feature" or "Create Guide" button is on the site?
I cannot find it anywhere.
I want to create a weekly feature where I analyze a classic game in intense depth to show people how you can enjoy your childhood games in a whole new way, while still getting to play games 4-6 hours per night on a limited budget.
I will create challenges for people to compete in and maintain leaderboards for each challenge to increase user interactivity within the series.
@SportyMarioSonicMix there are no such things, all the content on the site is produced by our staff or freelancers. You can pitch freelance commissions via the contact form.
@SportyMarioSonicMix yes all freelance articles are paid, price varies on a per post basis as it depends on scope and work required. We don’t do any weekly/frequency articles with freelancers however, all one off pieces. We’ll usually get back to you fairly quickly if we are interested. Thanks!
@antdickens: Would it be possible for me to do my series as a sequence of one off pieces then?
Or could you count it as a one off project, but split it into 50-100 articles?
It would be way too much information to put into a single article.
I mean I could, but it would be one of those articles that would need 100 screens to read and take forever to load and one set of comments would veer off in dozens of different directions.
@SportyMarioSonicMix it doesn’t sound like the kind of thing we would run here on Nintendo Life to be perfectly honest; as @Kermit1 suggested you’re welcome to post something like that in the forums and people can discuss with you 😃
@Kermit1: It would be like 100 hours of work per article, so I want to try to see if there is a place I could organize it first and be paid before doing it for free.
It is extremely time consuming to take the photos, do the diagrams, and construct the charts necessary to share it with others.
@SportyMarioSonicMix I’d be surprised to find anyone willing to pay for that kind of investment without knowing the return on investment. Publishing by yourself to prove your content is good would be a good place to start and then you can share proper examples.
@SportyMarioSonicMix by results he means a good finished product. Basically freelancers in general get work by either good word of mouth from past work/connections or having a portfolio showing how amazeballs their work is.
