Well, I only have 3 and 4 on the ds. I do like the fully animated cut scenes on the 4th one, but I think I like the story and music better on the 3rd. They're both really good though!

yea i like echoes of time but its not the best you should try one of final fantasy next door neighbors kingdom hearts

I've yet to play Echoes but it's probably the best.
It's not. In fact, it's pretty disappointing compared to Ring of Fates (in my opinion anyway).
On topic - I own all the FFs for the DS (III, IV, RoF, EoT, XII RW, CT, FFTA2), and out of the lot FFTA2 is my favorite. (I'm pretty partial to Tactics games.) I put well over 100 hours into it, and enjoyed it immensely. The story is alright, but the gameplay more than makes up for it.
