Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I did not enjoy the tonal change from previous AW games. Stupid generic post-apocalpytic crapsack world. I appreciated the absurdity of the first three (really, who would ever send out teenagers to command vast armies in the hopes of saving the world?), but that was sadly missing in Ruin. I also didn't really like the changes to the gameplay. Over-the-top Dual Strikes were the best! The only redeeming factor in Ruin was Lin. Man, was she awesome.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
i just wanted to state to the ppl who were dissapointed with drawn to life my opinion. I liked it but i wasn't the target audience. So if you have a younger loved one I can see them getting a kick out of it.
For me the big upset was Phantom Hourglass. It was the 1st Zelda I've ever played that truly felt "broken". At least Minish Cap (2nd least favorite) was a bit imaginative.

Starfox Command I really wanted to like it and destroy everyone online, but that crap was super crap/wrapped in hickory fried smoked crap/in a teeny tiny DS cart.

i would have enjoyed it if they:
1) Removed alot of the pointless dialogue 2) Removed the online modes 3) Added more levels
@Cheesy: YES! That game was SUCH a rip-off at full retail price! I'd totally forgotten about it! Wish I hadn't been reminded, really.
@ballkirby1: Yeah, I didn't like Squeak Squad all that much either, but I wasn't really expecting to since Kirby's been on a downward trend for a while now.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Diddy Kong Racing: thought it would be almost as good as Mario Kart, damn I was SO wrong. Harvest Moon Island of Happiness: Ok I admit it, I love Harvest Moon games. but this... this. was. just. awful.
I would have to say... Planet Puzzle League. After reading all the glowing A+ 10 star near-100 point reviews of this game, I bought it outright just the other day and boy was I dissapointed!! Much more difficult than I initially thought and not much fun for me overall. And that is surprising since I love puzzle games (Tetris, Pictobits, etc) This is a repetitive boring game and I dislike it very much.

I'm with you. I like puzzle game, and i was waiting for Planet Puzzle League...i was disappointed...i don't know why all seems so average and random. I still think the best puzzle games for DS are Meteos and Picross.
I have to say that, after reading many rewievs, i tought GTA would be awesome...yeah it's a little gem if you speak about the graphics, but for me it became boring the second after i finished the main story. I guess it's not my genre!
All the DS games I've had I've liked, though Pac-Pix was a disappointment. I thought it would be fun to draw my own Pac-men with the atylus and move them around, but the game got way too repetitive.
Alza... I totally agree. PPL sucked, but Picross is way more imaginative and challenging! I also like CrossworDS, have u played that one? I really want Rittai Picross to come to America... it's a 3d picross game.

Hands down, Phantom Hourglass. The boating was terrible, the gameplay was shallow, the characters bored me to tears, and here I thought this would be the Zelda game to bring me back to the series...nope, I'm out for good on the series in much the same way San Andreas killed any faith I had that the GTA series could be good.
Dawn of Sorrow is also one of my fav. Castlevania games. I mean, if you're not familiar with Castlevania, I can see why you'd hate it but a lot of the complaints here are based around series standards, and are a lot of the things that makes the series great. With that said, the Castlevania games are for people that love a great challenge, deep gameplay, and more importantly, aren't beginner gamers. It's hard, doesn't shy away from that, and for that, I love Castlevania.

Have you tried completing the trick jumps, doing the street races, and getting the trophies? You do know that you unlock two more missions if you get all the trophies and houses and get the two Lion statues, right?
