Topic: Sooo, about the Pokemon...

Well, the downloaded shiny legendaries are done with...if I remember correctly, Celebi is also downloadable next week right?
Or GameStop is the only way to get it right now?...Not sure if I'll be able to get to a store myself in time...

The legendary beasts were only up on wi-fi to give Europe a way to download them, since most of the time they don't bother doing the events here, unless it's for a very special one like Arceus or Celebi. It just so happens that all English speaking servers share the same servers, so those of you in the US or Australia were able to take advantage of the EU events.

But since they are distributing Celebi over here in stores, it means there won't be a wi-fi event for him. Even worse is the fact Black & White are region locked, meaning you'll only be able to get events from your own specific country in the future too.

It's just Gamestop or apparently you can get them at the Black and White mall tours they're doing.
You're probably just better off hitting up Gamestop though. I'm going in to try and get mine tonight. Back to the one that actually understands that it's a free download and not the local one that I have easier access to that constantly claims you need to preorder for any of these downloads.

I understand the purpose of doing them as Gamestop events but I honestly wish they'd just stick to the wi-fi events. I'm tired of fighting with the employees over how something is suppose to work.

Ha, everyone talked about how mysterious Mew was, and how it was "impossible" to get without cheating; Mew didn't hold a candle to the mysteries of Celebi. Why? Because you could actually get Mew by (if my memory serves me well) winning some kind of special contest, or going to a special event. Celebi wasn't released outside of Japan at all. There really was no way to get Celebi other than to use a glitch, or to use a gameshark, which means that when you ran around the Ilex Forest shrine fifty-two times with Lugia, Ho-oh, and the Legendary dogs/cats in your pocket, nothing would actually happen. The shrine just sat there, and taunted your ten-year-old mind.

I remember a rumor back in the day that if you win enough coins in a certain slot machine then getting a "GS" ball from Kurt will get you Celebi. Sucks in the remakes we can't event attempt it.

I'm going to park my car close to the front door of Gamestop and hope the signal reaches out to me so I can download Celebi (only because I want Zorua/Zoroark). I'm embarrassed to actually walk into the store just to download a pokemon and then walk back out. I feel like they are trying to humiliate us the way they make us get pokemon these days.

Yeah, I never got that Celebi. I didn't get a signal right outside of the store, and knowing my Gamestop, it was probably one of the ones that made you preorder the game before you could download Celebi (which they are doing underhandedly). I can't wait until Gamestop goes out of business...
