Topic: So i preordered a DSi XL...

I think I'mma hold off on a DSi XL. The only change is that its ecksbawks hueg, so It'd be a pain to carry around. If my DSi broke with no hope of ever working again, then I'd get one, but otherwise the next DS I buy will be the DS2.

its normally a dark red, or a dark brown. in most regions.

but.. man.. i'm getting it strictly to get it.

I preordered mine and got the bronze one. I already own a dsi but I really want to see Heart Gold, Warioware, Spirit Tracks, and Mario Kart ds on a bigger screen.

I preordered mines as well gettin the Burgundy, cant wait for it to come, do own a DSi but just have to get my hands on this one!

WOW was loookin for a matching case for it, i will check this site out.

In Japan the alternate colour is white instead of brown; pretty sure NA/EU are the same choices: brown/burgundy.

Link for LL case from play-asia.com: white or burgundy. Note that they have a strong chemical smell when first out of the packaging, but it dissapates within a few days. The internal mesh pocket is big enough to hold my USB charging cable and a 5-card case from GAME.

I'd go for this a bit later, for collection purposes.

I'm considered at the very edge of the last of the gen x'ers....And I want either black, grey or a blue one. pff
...But i kinda really like the brown one though.

I'm pretty sure GAME post worldwide and I've also had luck with Gameseek.

I want one, but I'm going to wait for more colour options... I got the very pale pink DS Lite (upgraded from the original DS) and have always regretted not holding out for the nicer colours of the DSi!

I've liked the "wine red" (as it's called in Japan) color since I've seen it. If I were to get one, that's definitely the color I'd go with.

I was excited when I heard they were releasing a "bronze" color here, which made it a big letdown when I saw it was just them renaming the "dark brown" color.

I have no interest in the XL. I am very happy with the DSi. At night, after the kiddo is in bed and my hubby commences with his nerdcrafting (aka WOW), I lay in bed and play games on the DSi. The XL looks like it would be awkward to hold, especially bookwise.
I have talked with many gamers and I have only met 1 that has preordered it. It would be nice to see one in action, but I think this one will get a pass for most.

Since i'll be getting a nifty tax refund, i decided i'll pick one up, but now the question is burgundy or bronze? I was originally thinking bronze, but it looks sort of lifeless. And yes, i realize the irony in using the adjective "lifeless" to describe an inanimate object. =)
