does anyone else get tired of pokemon games after playing several games? while this is not a insult to pokemon, even though there are different pokemon, and regions, you are tasked with doing the same thing over and over again. (i have played through 9 pokemon games so i should know!) train your pokemoon. fight gym leader. repeat. get ledgendary pokemon. another gym leader. fight elite four. then finally catch em all. ive stopped buying the games because i just got tired of paying $30 for something ive done 9 times! i need something new!
I got tired of Pokemon after Pokemon Yellow. They just started adding a bunch of Pokemon for no reason other than to mask the fact that it's the same game over and over.

I really enjoy pokemon games, and get addicted to them till I beat the pokemon league and catch all the legendary pokemons. So im triing new RPG like DQ, FF, GS
I got the original way back (Red) and I put about 1/2 into it and got tired, and then Yellow came along and as I was by coincidence before going off to college, and then work after that, happened to eat breakfast at that time. It helped, ended up going up to that run up to the final four, but happened to some how not get a required TM and I couldn't find it and didn't want to back track so I stopped. Since then until SoulSilver I've ignored it, and the reason is the same as the last -- it gets tiring. It's surely in part the fact little story wise technically changes or the setup, but the fact that it's just overkill unless you have no life, a kid with too much free time, or it's all you do, because they want you to catch and level up em all, and you can only aggravatingly do it one at a time. SoulSilver I picked up as I found it cheap ($25) and decided to take a new approach after seeing it had the 50%xp share, 2on2 battle, weird berries and mostly new pokemon with a few old mixed in I knew of. The approach now is that I don't and wont' catch em all. I may grab a new one per area, but I specifically won't collect them and level up the 6active I have and occasionally swap out and extra one or two so I have most 'types' covered and it's just more fun and peaceful doing it non-serious and non-caring as it's just fun to have the little furry rats beat the crap out of each other for fun in the wild now and again. If I were taking it seriously it would be a goner again.

That's how I always play it until the end game. I just use my favorite Mons, then worry about the rest later. It's not like the game ever really ends anyways, so you might as well take your time.
Sure all the Pokémon games are alike, but they're so addictive! The only repetitive part is having to fight the same species of Pokémon (like Ratatta and Caterpie) over and over again. Pokémon Black and White should make Pokémon less of the same, with three-on-three battles, Polygonal 3D worlds, and animated Pokémon. Other than that, it's basically the same premise, only newer-er!

And that's what makes it repetitive. It's still the same game, now with more fluff, meaning you'll be spending more time doing the same crap you've already been doing for years.

Plus, with Black and White, we won't see ANY old Pokemon until after the Elite 4. So it's definitely be newer-er =D
I kind of agree it does get repetitive but only if you try to catch em all as in 493 + but other than that the main game is always different but just the same concept.
