Topic: Pokemon Black & White

I'll be interested to see if this is a DS or a 3DS release.

Well, if everyone's concerned it's racist, I guess they could go with Light/Dark...

You know, unless this is coming out for the 3DS this will be the first time two pokémon generations have been on the same Nintendo platform, unless you don't count the GBC as its own generation.

Its not so much that the game itself is racist, its the fact of the two versions, of white and black.

everybody who prefers the white edition is a racist. so simple.

I seriously hope that it stays black and white. People weren't racist when there was a black and white DSi, so maybe they won't feel this is racist?

Also I second what Machu and Panda said. They're colours, if you get offended by them then there's probably something wrong with you rather than with the games themselves.

I'm not offended by the colors, wished they could have thought of something a bit more creative than shades though.
The point about the White and Black, is that racism still exists, and alot of it is based on color, that why a few if not some will be offended.

No no, this is another brilliant marketing strategy from Nintendo. The only way you'll NOT be racist is if you buy BOTH. Brilliant!

It's not like Pokemon has never been accused of racism before:

The difference is that Jynx actually feeds in to old racial stereotypes in the US whereas Black and White are just shades. Nobody cared about Pokemon Red or Yellow having racist names either.

I agree the names could have been more creative, but I don't think it's remotely a racism issue.

I heard about the episode that got banned because of the stereotypical jynx. How is jynx stereotype?

This has happened before.
Rockman.EXE 3 Black & White were released in English as Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue & White.
