Topic: New DSi Art Style game revealed!!

The right one (pink-white) is the standart layout. The brown-golden one looks really nice!

I just unlocked expert difficulty by getting silver on hard. Expert isn't that much faster than hard, but there are a lot more cars, and the medals are at huge scores, even bronze is 30,000. I haven't got any themes yet, you must get them from gold medals.

I've got at least one Gold medal and I didn't get a theme.

Unlocks so far

Silver Medal on Normal Endless mode = Hard Mode
Gold Medal on Normal Mode VS CPU = Different music
Silver Medal on Hard Mode VS Cpu = Expert mode

What???

That impossible! How should I do that? o_O

Anyway, nobody got a new graphic theme so far? I think I'm going to stop playing Pokémon Platinum now, Intersect needs all my attention now...

Well, this is supposed to be based on this new Art Style game, so its interesting nonetheless.

I just unlocked my first theme (the blue and black one) by getting a gold medal on normal endless with 31,000 points. I've found a good way to get points-
1- get overdrive as soon as the game starts, with black cars in all four corners
2- hopefully you'll have quite a lot of fuel, now drive different coloured cars into all corners but one, so that one corner has all the fuel.
3-get some fuel in two other corners, so you have three corners with fuel in
4-drive a different coloured car into the biggest fuel shape, which will split it into the two other corners. Ignite one of those two corners with a flashing car
5-repeat steps 3-5.
Hope that's not too confusing, it should be obvious if you play the game.

Congrats! It seems to be the 2nd best of the four known themes...

Thanks for your hint, I'll try it today. I only got "Hard" mode with a silver medal so far... To bad that the game doesn't have Internet multiplayer, so we 5 weirdos that actually play the game could play together... lol

Thanks for the advice Tambourine man. I was able to unlock the (Blue/black theme) Called Deep Sea-but found it kinda uneasy on the eye so changed it back,

Also just got a Gold medal on VS hard mode. Gold medals are awarded on Vs mode for winning the first two rounds. This gave me another theme called Caramel. It's Gold/brown looking. Nice

EDIT Beating Expert with a Gold Medal got 2 more themes

Lime and Red Coal

That means the final 2 themes are unlocked for clearing Endless Hard and Expert mode, likely with Gold Medals.

I got it about 20 minutes ago and I am loving it. However my entire family has gotten very sick of my claims that "You gotta give multiplayer a go, Come on you'll love it, it's awesome, just one round."

Just how many Art Style games does Nintendo plan to make anyway for the DSi?

The Art Style series is priced fairly combines cool graphics with excellent music and is quite popular. Granted not very Art style game is a hit, some are very average or a total miss. But I'd be more than willing to welcome more.

I managed to unlock those two themes as well as a new music track called "Abysso" for getting perfect in Normal Vs CPU in Touch Mode.

Nice. I'll have to have another go soon, been fairly busy with BiS. I also got the Caramel theme, the VS mode can be quite frustrating for me though, so I'll be trying the Endless golds first. Are the lime/red coal themes any good?

Can't wait for this to hit the states, looks nice. You can never have too much Art Style!

The VS mode is quite easy really. Just make sure you turn items off. Store up a large circle of fuel and you can easily bring the core up to win.

The Lime theme is too bright, it's neon green and white-and I really don't think it works well. Like the Deep Sea theme is makes playing the game off putting and hard. The Red Coal theme is really nice Red and Black and some white mixed in as well.

Still trying to score a Gold Medal on hard or any medal on Expert.

Got a gold medal on Hard mode now, it unlocks a theme called "Candy" Pink, and lime green with white background-not really to my taste.

That means the final theme/music is unlocked with clearing EXPERT mode. I would guess getting silver will get you the music and if you achieve gold you will get the theme.

Edit -Silver on Expert mode unlocks the final theme of the game called "Blossom" the colours are dark green, pink and white.
