Topic: Mighty Flip Champs revisited

Considering this game's only just been released to Europe, I think a "impressions" thread is warranted, and those Americans who like can jump in and revisit the game.

One thing I will say is this - it's disappointing. Not because it's a bad game, because it's not, it's good, clean fun, but because the game is so hyped, but in reality I find it to be of fairly standard puzzle/ platform quality. Cute gimmick, but there are plenty of other games out there with cute gimmicks - including the DSiWare.

An important game, as it was one of the first real quality ones to hit the DSiWare, but now, it's overshadowed by a bunch of other, better, games.

I also highly doubt this game is one worth returning to once all the levels are done. Gaining an 'S' rank just isn't an incentive to replay levels, in my opinion.

I find that it's a great game that was really fun to play. But once I beat it, I didn't have much urge to go through the levels again. Then again, I never even beat the game since the last stage was so hard D=

It was fun at first, but some levels get very frustrating. I, too, believe it was overhyped. Worth a download for puzzle fans though.

All DSiWare games in existence (especially Nnooo's, imo) have been overhyped.

It's a good game, but not so good that it's addicting, so the hype for it is a bit overboard. I liked going for the S ranks on the levels that didn't have too many screens, but otherwise it's kind of complicated to remember all the screens so I'm satisfied to just do them once, and I still haven't got around to completing all the levels yet.

I liked the game until the end, but as others have said, there just wasn't enough of a force to try and play the levels over again for S ranks.

The music was awesome though, in my opinion.

Yea, I agree. It's solid, but didn't blow me away.

Me too. I think it is one of the best games on DSiWare. Most of the other decent games are just iTouch ports I can get for cheaper on the app store. I love the flip mechanic, and it's really something that can only be done on the DS. I know that doesn't make it good in and of itself, but I personally really enjoy it. Great if you like puzzles.

It's a really good game, and it's a dsiware exclusive!!!! Not as much replayability as other puzzlers and slightly overhyped, but still good. I'm def. looking forward to Shantae, hopefully the game(s) live up to the hype!!!!!

I just got done getting all the 'S' ranks on every level and I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was hyped up so much because it was a decent launch title in NA. It is worth 800 points because it is a really solid game built around one good idea. I will say that if you aren't a completionist then you will blow through this game quicker than you want to for the money you spent. However, if you like 'adventure' type puzzlers and enjoy going for the best ranks, then you will definitely like this. Probably in the top five on DSiWare, at least in my book. I found it to be a good game to play in between other longer, retail releases.
