So this game came out right under my nose! I am picking it up Friday, though I'm curious if anyone has already grabbed it and has impressions.
For those who don't know, this game is a remake of one of the best 16-bit RPG's of all time Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Though the remade it into an Action/RPG. Though from what I hear, all the excellent music from the original is still intact.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Lufia 2's mentioning of Arek the Absolute being the leader of the Sinistrals and then never letting you fight him is still, till this day, gaming's biggest c***block.
Glad you made this topic. I am getting this delivered today and I can't wait. Even if this topic is just me and you talking back and forth about the game it will still be cool lol.
I played Lufia II years ago on the SNES and its just another reason why the SNES was a great system. I didnt know they had a remake of it thanks for letting me know. Going to check out Amazon right now.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
God im pissed. I pay that yearly fee to amazon to have my games in two days and it was supposed to be here yesterday. They told me to call back today if i dont get it. Still lol i freakin pay for this service.
I never played the Lufia games but from what I've heard they're great. How faithful is this remake?
This is game is nothing like the original. Most have been coining it a "Re-imagining" instead of a remake. Original is turnbased, this is Action/RPG. It's like the loosely used the story in an entirely differnt game. For me so far I think if I never played the original I would like this version 10 times more. Lufia II is one of my all time favorite RPG's so I had lofty expectations for this one.
@Vay - >.< That sucks man. Hope you get it soon. I'm very interested to hear your impressions.
Great game. As you said, not as good as the original, but this is still a really fun game. I love how different weapons have different IP attacks. Just got Tia too. Love her attacks.
These game is very good? Oh god, these year are tons of RPG's coming. I have already DQ IX, but there is also FF: the 4 heroes of light, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Kingdom Hearts: red-coded
Im thinking, and after watching Corpsey (NL) review, it seems pretty good, yes, so action, puzzles, and oh god! So I want to know how good is the game, specially wich are the pros and the cons.
This game seems good and since I didn't play the original I'll like it 10 times better! I think I'll have to write it on my christmas list though Too many games to get

Hulk. I'm copying and pasting part of what i said in the review section. It really is good.
This game truly is great. I hate to see this flying under the radar. I just can't believe how good the remake is. Also @ Swerd, the ancient Cave indeed is intact, along with Dragon Eggs. There is also something to be said for the Mystic Cave in New Game +, but i I won't spoil it. There are also other reasons to replay this game. If you want to know just ask me personally. But it does involve spoilers.
Also I personally think the town layout is a bit simplistic, but to me it doesn't take too much away from the game.
I have already ordered the game in Amazon, it looks truly great, as I have read it has some problems with the camera and with the puzzles, but who cares, every game got flaws.
Beat this game over a week ago. Pretty great action RPG. Although in my mind not as good as the original, it is still great in its own respect. There are reasons to replay the game as well, but i will let you all figure that out . One of the better games I've played in a long time.
