Topic: Language Coaching Games

Hey, I've been thinking of getting My French Coach just to brush up on my skills. Does anyone have one of the language coach games? If so, are they worth buying?

I have My French Coach.

Though I don't use it a lot, the dictionary and phrasebook are very reliable.
It's no RosettaStone but it works when it works.

Games that promote learning....

....pass.

Yeah because heaven forbid you learn something in life.

I have the Japanese one - as long as it's not your only guide for learning the language, it's a useful suppliment. It's useless on its own though.

I'm getting My Japanese Coach and will be reviewing it for the site in time. My main interest is in practicing writing characters and hearing spoken Japanese; I don't expect it to teach me the language though.

Same thing I was expecting. I passed it up for French just to wait a bit to learn Japanese (after high school).
