Topic: Jump Ultimate Stars DS

I'm importing this based on some solid reviews. What's it like? How much of a fraker is it playing in Japanese and constantly having to consult a translation game guide?

Its not too hard for me, but some levels need a walkthrough

Oh man, that game brings back some memories! It's a fantastic game. You don't need a guide except for some story mode missions where they give you a special goal you have to do to win. Other than that, it's pretty easy to get the hang of where everything is and what does what.

I have Jump Superstars, NOT jump ultimate stars, and I imagine that to play they are similar.
I finished Jump Superstars, without consulting a translation guide and had a good time with it. You have a fair idea of whats going on, apart from in the customization sections, and by all means its a great game, the closest to Smash Bros. on ds and it has some really good characters to boot

There is a difference between the two? I have one of them, but I find it sort of boring. The game overall is cheap quality(well, it is a licensed game) especially the combat/controls/modes/story. Also I didnt like most of the series which was a bit off putting and it looks and plays like a GBA game. It not even worth the money to get it imported, even with the online.
