To me it seems the DSi playback isn't loud enough when headphones are in them. Do you agree? BTW Is there any way to make it louder? If so please tell.
When I have my earphones plugged into my DSi I often have the volume at the lowest or second lowest setting. It's way too loud otherwise! But then I have some pretty high quality IEMs so that would affect their volume.
Are those headphones quiet when used with other devices?
The only way to make it louder than the maximum volume would be to use a portable amp for your headphones. That's kind of overkill though imo.

They work loud on everything else. It seems quiet only on DSi. I have maxell earbuds.
I find earbuds tend to be louder than headphones, because the speakers are closer to your eardrums. With headphones I sometimes have to max the volume on the DSi, not that I would say the max is too quiet, but earbuds would be too loud at the max. They probably set the max volume somewhat low to make sure kids wouldn't damage their hearing too badly.
Headphones have their own amplifiers in them and premium models even have a rating for such amplification. It could also be that the audio level in your music is naturally at a very low. Easiest Fix: Try out a different pair of headphones. Harder Solution: Get your ears examined. Also try having others listen through your headphones and ask what they think.
I've been Using the same pair of Nintendo-licensed clip-on headphones since the DSPhat and have had no problems. They're sturdy, reliable, comfortable, and pretty good quality for the money IMO.
