Topic: I pressed the format button!

OK so i think I'm really screwed here because last night i was wondering what the format button does. So I clicked it and i didn't read it and I went ahead WITHOUT READING IT and now i don't now if i get my Dsi store points back and if not how do you cancel a store account? I really need help here cause without help i screwed myself over please help me thanks:D

All the 'format' should've done was cleared your DSi's internal memory of everything saved to it. your DSi Shop information is separate from that, iirc, and you should still have your points available and be able to re-download everything you've bought, though your save information will be gone. Have you tried entering the Shop to check on your points yet?

As far as i know, it is as if you had bought a new DSi.
Theres nothing you can do, they tell you what will happen if you do it, so its your problem, not theirs and they have nothing to do for you.

I dont know if your shop info gets deleted too, i think theres a separate option for that in the shop itself.

Is it your Wii or your DSi? Either way, what TBD said is true. You should be able to re-download any games you bought.

@rift: that was a my bad -- i usually cruise the forums straight from the Unread Topics page, lol; idk how i got Wii from the OP :3

You can go online and redownload your DSiWare. Or if they were copied onto an SD card, you can copy them back onto the system memory. As long as you can still go online, I think you are fine.

i think the remider states that you wont be able to get back the games saved on a SD memory either, so even in the case you can redownload them, your save files are lost.
