I've had a couple of opportunities to use it but I chickened out because...well...you can imagine getting a random call from someone would be kinda weird...and then what would you talk about?

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I'd say how good their hair looks, no matter the gender. Can you get calls from people in Japan? It'd be a little hard to communicate.

I think it's only local. I was thinking how awkward it would be if you call someone, they look around and see you sitting a couple feet away. You wave awkwardly and they wave awkwardly back....

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

...I RARELY see people walking around with a DS/3DS, even if they did...would rarely see a Pokemon player...soooo, yeah...its kinda pointless anyways since it's LOCAL!....>_>

It's not only local. You can use it onver Nintendo Wi-fi Connection via the Global Terminal at a Pokemon Center. Also, I'm fairly sure than regardless of whether you use it local or over wi-fi, you can only use it with people who you've swapped friend codes with.

Oh since it's Global and stuffs, I'll revert back to my question:
Has anyone ever actually used it...?

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I don't see the point of using it locally and online, yeah. It would be nice to use it when playing a game like Goldeneye on Wii- maybe without the video.

I've used it both locally and over wifi (with friends) I am pretty dissapointed. It is extremely laggy, even locally. The controls are somewhat laggy as well, which is strange. You also cannot switch to the outside camera for photos.

That kinda sucks...and here Nintendo was making a big thing about it...

I would use it..
If I can find someone to use it with...

Me and my step sister used it locally a couple weeks ago. Sure its entirely pointless since we were just in different rooms but it was actually pretty fun since you can draw on the screen, change the lens type, and freeze frame things. The only thing bad about it is the frame rate......its really bad. more of a slideshow of pics than video feed.

It is a new feature so you can't expect it to be perfect right away. I think it is a nice idea and I hope it will be available in the next installments as well.

No, I have the DS Lite so it wouldn't even be possible.

Nintendo really wasn't making a huge deal about it, they just showed a bit of it on an episode of Pokemon Sunday. They DID make a big deal about Castelia city.

Yes, I do use it. Not often, but I do. It's just a little fun thing to do with friends.
