The creators of Pokémon have had thoughts about adding more action to Pokémon games
Director of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Junichi Masuda has revealed in a new interview that he’s toyed with adding an action element to the Pokémon games. The Pokémon games, which have seen update, haven’t strayed too far from their 1996 originals in terms of core gameplay (they are after all RPGS), but that could change as Masuda has said “... This is just an idea but ... as you know, Pokémon is a role-playing game. But, personally, I really like the action type of games, so we just talk about that sometimes. We probably want to add some kind action element to the game."
So what kind of action does he mean? Grand Theft Pikachu?
Souls are for the weak. I flow with the darkness on the pathway of depression.
ok so when i read this, i immediately pictured a new style of pokemon battle where each screen is a 'side' and you have to aim or shoot an attack at the opposing pokemon somehow (you can move your pokemon around with the D-pad) with taps or by flicking the stylus. attacks are chosen via a menu or something at the bottom of the screen.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
I like the idea of Pokemon having a similar fighting style to Paper Mario with action commands. So, when someone uses an attack like 'Bind' they can't just sit back a let it trap the opponent for 2 or 3 goes but they have to hit the button at the right time to land an attack on each turn. I think something like this could really add new life to the series, goodness knows it needs it.

I was thinking that perhaps they could inplement something like a timed button press or stylus swipe that could increase your chance of getting a critical hit or a secondary effect if you're attacking, or a less powerful attack/chance of a secondary effect if you're defending. That could breathe some new life into the series.
well, something ti spice up the game a bit, since i'm bore with playstyle
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...

Exactly what I was going to say. Except different.
