Great game, even if you're not a fan of the show. Lots of depth, tons of characters, and online play. Also, I think we have a "Recommendations" thread for stuff like this.
I'm working on a game that's coming out soon! Cipher Trailer
Jump Ultimate All Stars. Only problem is that its in Japanese and you'll have to import it. I believe the next One Piece game is headed our way to the DS soom-ish?
"They say video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock n' roll."
The following series' that are on the DS come to my mind. Excluding the two mentioned by BleachFan888 and LEGEND MARIOID.
Dragon Ball
Naruto
Mortal Kombat
Guilty Gear
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Photo Dojo (DSiWare)
Cosmo Fighters (DSiWare)
G.G Series: Super Hero Ogre (DSiWare)
You might have to do a bit of research on the Naruto and Dragon Ball outings on the DS though since not all of these games are fighting games or brawlers. Out of the ones i mentioned above Batman: The Brave and the Bold is the only one i played through. It's a good brawler that is a bit on the short and easy side though. 7 / 10 I've tried Mortal Kombat on the DS too but it's just too hard for me and i didn't find the puzzle game very rewarding.
I second everything Bleachfan888 has said. Bleach: DS is one of the best fighter games available on DS. It's a 2D game done perfectly, mainly because Treasure is under its development. Like it was said before, you don't have to know the Bleach world to enjoy it. It also has plenty of modes, so you'll have challenge playing it. If you don't like 2D games, you can try Naruto Shippuden DS (although it's not that good) or something such as Mortal Kombat or Dragon Ball Kai, which is expected to be released.
Currently playing: Persona 4 Golden (Vita), Persona (PSP), Disgaea 3 (Vita), Yumi's Odd Odyssey (3DS), Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS).
Recently finished: Pokémon X (3DS), Persona 3 Portable (PSP), Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS), Virtue's Last Reward (3DS).

I'm going to third the BLEACH games. You can't go wrong with Bleach: Blade of Fate or Bleach: Dark Souls. I wasn't into Bleach when I first played Blade of Fate, but the story in that game (based on an actual story arc from the series) got me hooked. Dark Souls has a weaker story but if you're looking for a good fighter, Dark Souls may be just a little better.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
The Jump fighting games are pretty much considering the closest not Smash Bros, Smash bros-like game according to damn near everyone whose played it. The actual crossover ones. Otherwise I usually wouldn't trust other anime games to be good to save my life.
