I have a theory about DSiWare - the perceived value of the service is directly related to how much you like puzzle games.
I, for instance, love puzzle games, so DSiWare has been a godsend to me - I've never had such a great collection of puzzlers on a single console before.
Art Style - 7 of them! Wakugumi, plenty of Sudoku options, some cheap & simple little bit of puzzlers that save you buying the whole retail cartridge, Mighty Flip Champs! Mario Vs Donkey Kong, Reflect Missile/ Tradjectile - it seriously is a brilliant list of some really well-designed puzzle games.
I know a lot of other people would like the flow of puzzle games to stop, but I for one hope there's many more of similar quality brought to the service.
How is it overloaded? It would be overloaded if the puzzlers were all the same, but they're all entirely different games. Wakugumi (which I've become readdicted to recently) is almost a polar opposite of Reflect Missile.
I also love puzzles games, particularly those with a smaller scope (and price to match), unique art design / audio presentation, and an overall feeling of cleverness within simple bounds. Suffice to say that I'm extremely pleased with DSiWare.

I am pleased with DSiWare as well, and that is probably because I primarily play puzzle, platform and adventure games (and a short RPG every once in a while). The first two genres are now well-represented with good games on the service. In fact, I am completely overloaded with puzzle games to finish with DSiWare right now. I am about 40% of the way through Trajectile and plan on purchasing Starship Defense soon. I have about 5 Art Style games to finish, a little left to go in M vs. DK and haven't purchased Glow Artisan yet. If this pace keeps up, I may not buy any DS retail releases this year and just stick to DSiWare. Time will tell I guess.
Though the only reason why there are so many puzzle games is Nintendo. Without their releases it would be slim pickin's as far as quality puzzlers are concerned, so I'm all for it. They just are a great fit for the platform.

Well, that's it. People seem to forget there's a cartridge slot for retail games, and there are a LOT of good retail games out there.
Puzzlers are small in file size - they're perfect for DSiWare. And while they continue to be such good quality... keep em coming.
I love the Art Style series. Can't say I like any of the other puzzle games on DSiWare though, except for the Express games, which I'd rather have in their full form on console. I'd like to see DSiWare get more variety, but it certainly has its value even if it never moves beyond King of the Puzzle World.
