Well I got my black DSi at 11am on launch day yesterday, and so far I am impressed. It definitely has a lot of potential as a mobile device, and not just for gaming. For anyone who downloaded the free web browser, what are the sites you think "work" on the DSi? Here are the ones I've found so far to be good.
[Myspace.com] -- Goes right to a very slick column-only stripped down version of the original site. Doesn't give you the option to view it in overview mode, similar to how Nintendo.com works. It is as if it knows you are using a DSi! [Nintendolife.com]-- Works surprisingly well, but the main pages top story images don't load very well, and you can't search. Still, my favorite Nintendo site is perfectly usable! [Google.com] -- Loads fast and looks great. You can also set it as your default search, but i prefer Yahoo. [us.m.Yahoo.com] -- Yahoo mobile is a great alternative to the slow loading Yahoo.com. Good for weather, email, news, movie showtimes, directions, and more. [mobile.Wikipedia.com] -- Very fast mobile version of wikipedia without any pictures from what I can tell. [Twitter.com] -- Works well on its own in overview mode, but column mode is even faster. There is also a mobile version, but I don't suggest that one as it is uglier. You can try it though at m.twitter.com
There is my small list so far. What are yours? I am looking to add more sites to my favorites. Specifically I am looking for a good site that I can use AIM on. There are some that work but they are too slow to really even use. I'm also looking for good mobile (or fast loading) weather, and news sites.
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
I'd recommend Gmail, since the basic HTML version works really well on the DSi. As for ebuddy, the mobile version seems to work okay, although it'ls not the prettiest thing ever. The full version doesn't work, though.
I haven't had much luck with finding a good site to use AIM, but meebo is the best so far. You have to use the mobile version at http://www.meebo.com/mobile and you have to use overview mode for it to work right. Still I have problems with it. Anyone else being logged off the sites they visit randomly? it is really annoying and makes it hard to do anything.

Thank you very much,Lionsgate, 4 the info on the best sites on the DSi browser. I too am loving my DSi. The only thing is,I need high speed internet to access my browser. Do you perhaps, know a way around that? If so,can you write back soon to,Ludifisk, that would be great! LUDIFISK
I have seen signs outside some McDonald's restaurants that you can use free WiFi if you buy a value meal. They used to have totally free WiFi for the DS ($1.99 for laptop computer access) but I haven't been there in so long that I don't know if they still do.

Don't think so. I went on a road trip a while ago and I tried to access McDonalds wi-fi with my dad's laptop. We had to pay to use it there. This was after we ate btw. But maybe it was just that McDonalds we went to.

m.ebuddy.com is a nice messenger site
The website keeps saying that my AIM account is "Not Allowed" when I try to log-in on the DSi
