Look at all the obscure characters they are making for Animal Crossing. Originally the AC Amiibo and potentially Pokemon as well were going to be in the form of cards as that would be the only economical way to make a bazillion characters. But Nintendo did a 180 and is releaseing the AC series as figures. I have no interest in AC Amiibo, and I imagine Daisy, Waluigi, and Toadette, in addition to reissues of DK, Wario, and Rosalina, would become popular characters in a potential Mario Party wave 2 lineup, and with Nintendo fans in general.
As your avatar indicates, they released a Mewtwo Amiibo for Smash Bros and plans for each DLC character. Waluigi and Daisy are still playable in Mario Party and the question marks on Amiibo Party. Until Wave 2 MP Amiibo is released, we won't know for sure, but I distinctly remember Reggie announcing a Wave two MP with new Rosalina, Wario, and DK. Three is a bit small for a full wave, so add Daisy, Waluigi, and Toadette.
STILL waiting for the second wave of Super Mario amiibo. I just want the alternate poses for Donkey Kong, Wario and Rosalina, but I fear that they may have forfeited any plans of doing so. The Mario Party 10 website only shows their Super Smash Bros. amiibo poses, which indicates that they may have shelved plans to create alternate versions of Donkey Kong, Wario and Rosalina. I just want amiibo to match the amiibo displayed in-game (and so I won't have to overwrite the data of their Smash figures).
Daisy, Waluigi and Toadette would serve absolutely no purpose in any game except for Super Mario Maker (their costumes are easily unlockable anyway) and possibly as doubles partners in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (plus generic functionality in other amiibo-compatible games), unless Nintendo plan to produce a free update to Mario Party 10 which includes Daisy, Waluigi and Toadette boards, but these characters are already so obscure, that it isn't really worth the effort to reassemble a long disbanded crew to produce new content specifically for these particular characters (and if Waluigi/Toadette/Daisy boards had already been programmed into the game, I'm sure that data miners would have uncovered it by now).
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

If I knew where to look, I'd pull up the Nintendo direct video where I distinctly remember where Reggie blatantly confirmed alternale poses for Rosalina, Wario, and DK. Wario and Rosalina are practically unobtainable since launch, and they are popular Smash characters AND in the MP lineup. Now I'm not one to call Reggie a liar, but if a "Wave 2" MP Amiibo has in fact been canned, it essentially that. Here's the NLife article showing off the new designs. I think the new Wario in classic colors looks a ton better than the Smash version: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/02/mario_party_10_offic...
Secondly, there are two question mark placeholders in the game, which all but allude to future content, whether on disc or planned update. Daisy and Waluigi both have unlockable costumes in Mario Maker, and if rather obscure Animal Crossing NPCs get their own Amiibo, I don't see why A-List Mario Party stars shouldn't as well. There are a ton of Daisy and Waluigi fans out there, for better or worse.
Daisy and Waluigi are hardly "A-List stars." They are one-note roster-stuffers at best. Only hardcore Nintendo fans would have the faintest idea as to who they are, and they are no more well known than some of the character choices in the Animal Crossing series of amiibo. At least the AC amiibo serve an in-game purpose in two games. Daisy and Waluigi would only serve (no pun intended) in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and would be completely useless in Mario Party 10 as there are no boards or amiibo-related content specific to these characters.
Daisy and Waluigi will be a tough sell in any case, except for only the most hardcore of Nintendo fans. I'm only being realistic here. I would actually like to have a Waluigi amiibo, but there are no games that would utilise it in a meaningful way. I actually kind of wish that Nintendo had released a Mario Tennis series of amiibo. It may potentially boost sales of the otherwise critically panned game and I think they can come up with some pretty cool poses for the figurines. Eh. I'll be happy as long as we can get the alternate poses for Wario, Rosalina and Donkey Kong, but the possibility is looking more unlikely by the day.

Okay maybe they are B-List characters, but hardly are they more well known than Animal Crossing minor NPCs. Add Pauline to that list. I would love an Amiibo of her too.
But Reggie did promise we would have new versions of Rosalina, Wario, and Donkey Kong in a Direct video last year, although I forget which broadcast it was in. That still hasn't happened yet...

I don't think he did but rather the MP10 game and site showing what MP series amiibo would look like for Rosalina, Wario and DK if they existed. Then I guess MP10 (and the non-Toad MP series amiibo) flopping in terms of sales probably led to the amiibo figures being ditched.
I at least want my classic color Wario and tall stature Rosalina...
The Smash Bros Rosalina is lovely, but Wario is butt ugly. However I want a taller Rosalina as well to match the Mario series Peach. And I imagine a reskinned DK would just look too similar to the Smash version, much how there isn't a ton of difference in the Bowser Poses.
As for Waluigi and Daisy, I could go the hack route with the World of Nintendo Waluigi figure plus a Luigi base, but it wouldn't be authentic.
