Hello everyone!
I just got a Switch along with Splatoon 2 and am thinking about getting a complementary Amiibo. Ik normally don't really pay that much attention to Amiibo's but I overall really like the characters' designs and I saved some money by getting a discount on the switch so I thought why not?
I know that each amiibo unlocks a certain gear set ingame and I know roughly what bonusses each set provides but I was wondering if there is one that is far superior to the others. I was thinking about getting the Callie & Marie set simply because I think it looks the best but I'm willing to buy another one if that one provides far better gear.
So my question is: Is there one clear best Splatoon amiibo or are they all the same in terms of usefullness?
I'd say they are pretty much the same as to how useful they are. I buy the amiibo that I like the look of and the functionality acts as like a bonus to me so of course I'd encourage you to buy the ones you like.
@Plextor017 They all provide relatively equal gear, so I'd just choose one based on what amiibo and gear set you like the look of.
The Callie and Marie amiibo look nice but don't unlock any [new or original] gear or weapons, you just get to take pictures with them and your character.

The Callie and Marie amiibo do unlock gear. They unlock the hero suit variants of the first game. You do need to beat the storymode before you can unlock them though.
