Topic: Smash Cloud Alt and Twilight Link Amiibos are GameStop Exclusives

. . . and at the time of writing, the Twilight Link amiibo is already out of stock within three hours of it being announced for pre-order. Did anyone manage to reserve either or both? I just purchased the Cloud amiibo.

EDIT: According to the Facebook announcement, the Twilight Link went out of stock within one hour of posting.

The Cloud, Bayo, and Corrin amiibos have been announced for Walmart. It looks like the pre-orders for those revealed in the Direct yesterday are being quietly opened today. Best be on your game. I just pre-ordered Cloud and Bayo.

@JTMnM They look neat at first, but in ten years from now you're going to look back and wonder why you ever spend $500+ on plastic figurines.

I really dunno why they bother doing this, the sad thing is that I don't live near a city so there is no gamestop and such, only now I'm ordering some amiibo I wanted that were exclusive to stores not near here like the Retro triple pack....please don't make young Link exclusive to a store that's not here.

@Octane I've got gaming statues all over my house. I don't think that amiibo will be what breaks me. Now the 2500USD and counting I've spent on sailormoon merchandise... Nostalgia, what are you doing to me?

Well, they'll be restocked eventually. Breath of the Wild won't be worth playing again until the DLC hits anyway.

It is kind of annoying since I had to cancel my Link and Zelda amiibo orders, though. Also because of the combination of limited quality and the fact that Amazon apparently allows fraud on its 'storefront.' What is this, Steam?

Good luck for everyone amiibo hunting. Luckily I was able to snag preorders for both versions of Bayonetta at EB Games. I haven't bought an amiibo before but she's just too cool and one of my favourite characters. I'll be getting the original Bayonetta version in July and the Bayonetta 2 version in December.

By the way i don't get amiibos when they come out, i usually wait for restock so that they can be easily found
