Do amiibos have Personalities?? Or can you teach them to have good or bad Personalities??? I just got some amiibos and I want to make sure I don't mess them up.
Looking for friends in my area to play Nintendo games with XD
1. Don't expose them to bright light. Especially sunlight; that will kill them.
2. Never get them wet.
3. And whatever you do - never, ever feed them after midnight.

Serious answer: No. They're not THAT advanced. They just contain data that identifies them as a certain character that every game reads in a different way.
If a game was about raising an amiibo, then yes it would have a "personality" I suppose if the game featured that.
But those are all hypotheticals.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I never fully understood that rule, at what point specifically is it safe to feed them?
Yeah but people get up at all different times, if you start work at 2am then your breakfast is around 1ish. There will be a particular point where, if you feed them, they will evolve into gremlins, but if you feed them a second later, they won't.

I always understood it as whatever time you wake up in the morning, as long as it's after midnight. Not a set time. You know, kinda like your mom telling you not to eat just before going to bed because it's bad for your digestion. Only in this case, "bad for your digestion" means turning into a murder machine. But eating breakfast is healthy!

So I can beat them up in smash bros and it won't make them mean then? I guess I was kinda thinking if I was to beat on them they would become mean and if I was to not hit them they would be nice lol. But sounds like they just learn moves by what you are saying.

You can train them in Smash Bros., but they will not have any particular kind of personality, per se. If you were to, for example, taunt, pose or even commit suicide every time you claim the life of one of your opponents in Smash, then your amiibo partner can, apparently, be primed to do the same. I haven't tested this myself though.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

The crazy thing, really, is that every one of them is different, just like real people. My Duck Hunt amiibo is a total jerk who thinks he's better than everyone else. But my friend's Duck Hunt amiibo is actually pretty laid back and is always cracking dumb punny jokes.

Have you ever seen Toy Story? Well that happens with amiibos, and they all have different personalities. However, they'll move back to their original positions before any human notices.
Serious answer: No. I think Smash Bros is the only game where saved data on amiibos is used to train them and level them up. I've heard that they become much better much quicker on Smash Bros when they are against more powerful opponents, so feel free to continuously beat them.
