Has anyone managed to get a Meta Knight amiibo from Best Buy yet, I went today to BB and couldn't get a straight answer, one person said they came in sold out right away another said they don't come out till 12/31/2015?
I preordered mine. But there's never been a release date given for the amiibo, even now after all the amiibos have a release date given.
So I asked today if it's available, since today's the official launch date for Wave 3, and they told me that his release date has been pushed back to later this month.
Best Buy doesn't seem to have updated the Wave 3 release date from their placeholder date. They say the Megaman I preordered releases on 12/31/2015 when clearly it releases mid this month.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I'm not bothering with Best Buy and imported Meta Knight, judging Best Buy's low amiibo stock and lack of knowledge, the hunt for one there without a preorder will surely be miserable.
The entire search of the exclusive amiibos has been terrible! I got lucky on shulk and lucario. I did manage 2 lucario one for my brother in law. He got one though. Now Rosalina and meta knight will be imported due to the terrible stocking off both and being online only preorders which is stupid to start
I don't know. Gamestop employees have said that Shulk will be released on the 13th. If they set a release date for exclusives in two different on the same day.. no one will be happy about that. You will be torn between camping Best Buy or Gamestop. If they decide to release them on separate days then I am willing to bet Meta Knight is due when the final wave 3 amiibo's come out.
I went to Best Buy today and the customer service man told me that they didn't get their Feb. 1 shipment like they were supposed to. He also said that they "definitely will honor all pre-orders". Good thing I pre-ordered my meta knight way back when. For what ot's worth, the Best Buy I usually go to is fairly consistent about making sure that pre-orders are met. He indicated that they were notified that they were to get Meta Knight, Toon Link, and Sheik today, but that their shipment was delayed until later. Perhaps they are sticking to the Feb. 13th date that seems to be advertised.
Where was Meta Knight advertised as coming out 2/13 the only place I can think of to find the release date is Best Buys site which says 12/31/2015 and Nintendos site which just says February? I almost lost it yesterday after asking someone at BB yesterday about MK when he said they had him and he sold out, then he said he mistook Meta Knight for Sheik.
Best Buys site has now added releases dates for the rest of Wave 3 amiibo Sonic, (2/13/2015) King Dedede, Ike and Mega Man (2/20/2015) but still lists Meta Knight for (the place holder date) 12/31/2015. Ugh I just want to know when I can pick up the Meta Knight amiibo that I preordered at Best Buy.
