Not sure if this topic has already been made but the old design on Ike was so much better. Now he looks more feline-like in the face. I don't know why they would have changed this. The old one looks more masculine and more realistic.

There is no change... You just posted a picture (left) which is what they advertised and then (right) which is how it is actually made.

Thumbs up!

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I'm currently playing Resident Evil 4 Remake & Manhunt

Oh, I did not know that. The website I was reading said it was a change in design. They also stated Bowser's early design was slightly changed. Either way, I wish the Ike in the first picture was what the amiibo looked like. It's much better than the current one.

The difference you're seeing is a difference between the prototype model and actual production model. Prototype models always look more accurate and just better in general because the company wants to build hype and show off and all that, but actual production models always look worse for cost efficiency reasons.

A famous example of someone who got hit hard by this difference is Marth, but really, almost every amiibo has been affected by this to some degree. Some less than others

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

To be fair, the Bowsers look the same, except the one on the right is rotated more towards the camera

Disappointed with Ike, though. His handsomeness is not captured very well at all in the retail model
