Just call it "Yokai Watch" or Yokai Watch |OT| Pokemon's New Brother. I dunno but anything is better than the current thread title. It's releasing in NA this dang year.
And what about the poor Europeans who still don't have a precise release date?!?!?!?!?
I played the Japanese game for about half, and liked it a lot. There are comparisons with Pokemon of course, but don't forget this one's made by Level-5, a sure guarantee of quality for me! So, I'm buying the American version too, look forward to really understanding all that's been said!

I'm enjoying the demo far more then any pokemon I've played. This maybe a purchase for me and I didn't even want to start the demo tbh. This seems more like an rpg then pokemon ever did.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I am completely enamored with the aesthetic. Reminds me so much of the nostalgic afternoon cartoon blocks where you felt like you were going on this big adventure with the MC and his cast of unusual friends while never being far from home.
The battle system... is definitely unique but pretty fun. I love how the soultimates have you do various things to activate them. The kanji activation is my fave.
Only reason I'm not sure if it's a Day 1 purchase yet is because I'm in the middle of my marathon of the Ace Attorney series and don't want to break the flow. It'd be sitting there unopened for a few weeks but I really want to help its opening numbers...
Current Playlist: Age of Calamity, Stardew Valley, ACNH
I tried the demo out the other day and it was pretty enjoyable. The battle system does take a bit to get used to, but I kind of like it. I won't be getting it day one, but it's definitely on my radar for the holidays.
I went from not even caring about this game a couple weeks ago to now wanting it by the end of the year. I think it's a higher budget then I thought it was going to be. I was maybe expecting a worse pokemon clone when in fact it looks better to me or at least different enough to stand apart.

i'm thinking of getting it this weekend. my dad is coming down to take my kids and I out for Callie's and my birthdays. Was last month but the earliest my dad could come from the states. It depends on how much money I get for my birthday though. I want the AC New 3DS bundle but if I only get a certain amount, I will just get games or something.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
I want to be the very best like no one ever was to catch them is my real test to train them is my cause I 'll travel across the land searching far and wide each Yokaimon to understand to power that inside.
Went to my local Target yesterday at 5 PM, they had 12 copies left, which was most of their initial stock. It hasn't even come close to pokemon status yet.
I'm really surprised at the lack of hype for this game. I've played the original on my Japanese 3DS and loved it. Yes, I love Pokemon too, but other then the collecting part, this game is very different. It has its own charm, great graphics, good storyline....Great Streetpass features too.
Anyway, downloaded my copy on day one of the English game, and I'm enjoying it once again!
