Level-5 is still silent about Yokai Watch 4 English version. 😟
They will release Fantasy Life I English version in October 2024, they have announced Yokai Watch spin off on this year, still no sign of English version of previous Japanese Yokai Watch games.

I still play Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS until today.
Recently I continued my game progress by clearing some of Hailey mission, entering Clu-T dungeons to get rare Yokai creatures and leveling up other Yokai.
I have accumulated more than 300 hours gameplay according to my 3DS LL. 😊
That's a lot of hours to spend for Yokai Watch 3 despite I only able to play in Japanese version. Btw, I still wondering how do I get more Shields from Clu-T dungeons with more than 300 points as I get into deeper dungeons, the Boss over there become more difficult to beat and it needs way stronger shield to cut the damage?

Oh, I got some rare Yokai from Yokai Watch 3 Tempura yesterday.

I got Legendary Yokai Shogunyan after getting 8 Yokai from Yokaipedia.

Personally I still prefer playing Yokai Watch 3 than the previous games Yokai Watch 1 & 2 as in Yokai Watch 3, there are more appealing looking Yokai especially the USA Yokai design.
My favorite is still Slugger, the muscular Baseball slugger Yokai from Yokai Watch 3.
My current team in Yokai Watch 3 is mostly from Yokai Watch 3 creatures with cool or masculine looking.
I found getting the Egyptian or Legendary Yokai in Yokai Watch 3 was pretty tiring and complicated as I didn't always get them after beating them or finished the dungeon and not to mention the tougher Boss on every level of dungeons.

@NatiaAdamo 4 isn't coming to the West. At this point they'd have to localize too many movies and an entire anime in order to bring it over. It would be better for them to just fully reboot the series with a spiritual successor.

I have collected more than 40 Nyakiba48 cards from Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS.
It was a really tough quest as I have to keep my eyes peeled on the blue spark on the floor that indicated the Nyakiba48 cards being spreaded out on anywhere.
My goal was collecting until 48 Nyakiba48 cards then proceed to talk with the owner of the card to finish the quest.

Finally I found a walkthrough about NyaKB48 card quest in English version name.
So far I had found 42 cards from 48 without any walkthrough until I had difficulty to find another 6 cards as I had explored every places but it seems I had no idea the exact places for the rest of the cards.
I will read first and cross check with my progress.

I have found All the 48 NyaKB48 cards and reported to the fan.
And surprisingly, that fan was a Master Nyada in disguise.
After some conversations, I have to fight with him then I could befriend with him after battle.
But personally, I don't even have any interest with star Wars stuffs and getting Master Nyada aka Master Yoda in Jibannyan version was not really something exciting as I will not use him for my Yokai team.
Fast forward, I have finished also the quest from Nate side to get all the 6 Mexican Yokai returned to the Circus after I got Glumdango which he will changed into Fundango after all the six members returned.
Such a heartwarming event to see all the six Yokai members returned to the Circus and see the Glumdango (Unlucky) changed into Fundango with positive vibes.

I still playing Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS until today.
Just now I have accumulated more than 350 hours of gameplay.
That's the longest gameplay of my Yokai Watch games.
Also, I got Yokai Sangokushi 3DS with dirt cheap price several days ago and I quickly grasped the tactic style gameplay since I have ever played FF Tactics before.
Yokai Sangokushi have link data with Yokai Watch 3 Japanese version so I have opportunity to get the trio Sangokushi Commanders of Jibanyan, Komasan and Usapyon in Yokai Watch 3 by accepting their challenge daily and not forget to throw Forbidden Fruit to get them instantly after battle. Such a good additions.
I still looking for YouTube video of Yokai Sangokushi QR codes to get more Gacha coins in order to unlock more Yokai in Yokai Sangokushi.

It's sad to see Yokai Watch as something similar to Pokemon style games get eclipsed by Pokemon popularity.
I saw Level-5 tried to be creative with Yokai Watch spin-off such as Yokai Watch Busters 1 & 2, Yokai Sangokushi, but still not strong enough to get more love than Pokemon spin-off games.
I personally choose Yokai Watch games over Pokemon Scarlet / Violet because the things that get popularized too much usually will have their controversy.
I also blamed the audiences who can't give more love and being more open minded with new stuffs like Yokai Watch. There is always the insecurity feeling of the fear from something new or the competitor and just only depend on resting on comfort zone.
But I think it's a sad reality.
I personally prefer supporting the niche or less popular stuffs but have something in my heart rather than the over popular stuffs that doesn't click on me.

Oh, back to Yokai Watch games on modern consoles, I personally choose the PS4 version of Yokai Watch 4++ and Yokai Watch Jam: Yokai Watch Academy Y as it will be more 60 fps and have faster loading time on PS5 machine even they are still Japanese version, but don't worry.
I can read some of Japanese words so I think I can finish the game just only relying on the guidance arrow.
I don't really trust with Switch 2 BC as I keep hearing the imperfect BC due to crashes or bugs from certain Switch 1 games on Switch 2, indicated the BC system on Switch 2 is not directly reading the previous gen games like the BC of Wii with GameCube games or Wii U with BC of Wii games.

I really hope the Switch version of Yokai Watch 1 get English version but considering the first game was already have English version from 3DS version, I doubt Level-5 will care to localize again their Yokai Watch on Switch & PS4.

I wouldn't expect Level 5 to do anything with the Yokai Watch brand in the near future. They basically sabotaged it for themselves in America, and fumbled it big time in Japan with taking the series into directions that weren't popular nor wanted. 4 suffered from scope creep, which ended up being to it's detriment. Originally it was supposed to just be Shadowside, but then they added Nate's world into the mix which ended up creating a game without fleshed out maps. Shadowside was already not popular in Japan as well, given that it was too dark/creepy- and a jarring move for a series that was known for light-hearted comedy.

The reboot and cancellation of the anime was a mistake, with the anime getting worse and worse in terms of quality after Shadowside. The merch in the Americas was pretty shoddy due to them going with Hasbro- which value cheaply made toys over Bandai- who did the Japanese merch.

I don't think they'll do anything with Yokai Watch at this point in time, especially with Holy Horror Mansion being in production. I have no hopes for Holy Horror Mansion either because Level 5 is using Generative Ai to help produce the game. It's going to be slop- and everything they've shown so far just doesn't look anywhere near as appealing as the Yokai Watch games were.

Speaking about Yokai Watch games, which one you like the most?
I personally like these Yokai Watch games.
1. Yokai Watch 3 Tempura / Sushi / Sukiyaki
2. Yokai Sangokushi
3. Yokai Watch Blasters

Yokai Watch 1 & 2 are good but not as strong as Yokai Watch 3 so I tend to play Yokai Watch 3 oftenly.
I still haven't try Yokai Watch 4 and Yokai Watch Jam as both of them are still Japanese version only and I have to find the right time to pre-order the Japanese games from certain game shop.

And speaking about Yokai tribes, which tribe you like the most?

I personally prefer Brave, Tough and Charming for the Attacker.
A lot of my favorite looking Yokai is from Brave tribe as they have more appealing heroic looking Yokai.
Some of Tough Yokai have appealing tough / big body Yokai.
The Charming Yokai are mostly cute, except the Skeleton Yokai. 😅
Also, Heartful tribe are mostly my Healer member in my team.
I don't like that much the Eerie tribe as they mostly have intimidating looking. 😦
The only Eerie Yokai I like to play is Rawry since he looks like little punk and somehow I like his punk looking.
