In terms of games that I got hooked on until I finished them, there are quite a few, but the latest one was Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. Can't say I'm a big fan of the series, but I really enjoyed that game. The Professor Layton games also stand out to me because I remember staying up late to get to the end of each of the games.

As for games which I keep coming back to year after year, Ocarina of Time, the Ace Attorney series, Kingdom Hearts 1 and The Last of Us are some of the games that I can play again and again without getting bored. I'll often get the urge to a Nuzlocke (or similar) challenge in a Pokemon game too.

Yes, I like bears.

Monster hunter 3U and The binding of issac.

World of Warcraft. I have been playing that game since 2009. The only reason I am not really playing it now is cause my computer's vid card took a dump and I can't afford to replace it just yet.

Main reason that I play it is cause the story line is one of the best IMO that and I like the social features as well. Just something about taking down a difficult raid boss with a bunch of your friends.

The first 3 games in the super monkey ball series (1 & 2 for the GCN, and Deluxe for Xbox/PS2). I always play them a lot through the year, since 2006.

Perhaps the only games I can do that, as I almost never replay a game :L

this is a vague topic, I play games normally as much as I want (within reason) and I rarely actually want to play for more than an hour or two in a row...

I think the last time games got in the way of anything I was like 11. Probably Smash Bros Melee. The last game I was remotely addicted with was Xenoblade (and maaaaaaybe something like VVVVVV). I guess I do go back a lot to my favorites from when I was younger but otherwise I don't know. I still don't know if any of what I said even fits because I'm not sure what this thread is talking about tbh.

Edit: Actually I'm not sure Melee would even qualify, I didn't actually get that into the game until a couple of years after I first played it.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Dragon Age Inquisition
Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze
Bayonetta 1 and 2
Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3
Zelda Twilight Princess

Those are the games that I just couldn't put down, would stay up all night playing and miss work, and account for the most hardcore gaming binges Ive ever partaken of

Animal Crossing New Leaf took 6 months of my life! Then Steel Diver:Sub Wars. I've also had periods of Super Bomberman and Punchout that lasted months.

My other Switch is a WiiU.

ACNL took a year of my life and now that my sister's got it, I'm back to playing it again. I'll never escape...

Metroid Fusion, Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Metroid Zero Mission... Generally speaking - short, 2D games with good graphics/sound/controls that are not too difficult, but ones you can really master.

Donkey Kong, Dr.Mario, Zoo Keeper, WarioWare, Rhythm Heaven - I'd play most anything, but I have a thing for short repetitive games that even my mother would be able to play.

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
