oh yeah, you're right. Completely forgot about that 1 since it seems to've been 1 of the 1st titles released on eShop. Kinda have to wonder how identical the graphics are, though, even though I haven't played it before, because 1 of the things I loved about GameBoy Color was how vibrant its colors could really be brought out with the right type of light reflected off its pixels (Whatever's in the system/screen that pulls it off just it amazes me); Sunlight even was most preferable/usable imo. Somehow I just have slight doubts that the 3DS can actually replicate/produce that game general type of quality that made it so good. Now just to be clear, I'm not saying I don't think it can't replicate the graphics, but I just kinda have my doubts about how GameBoy Color games in general will look/feel on the 3DS without that amazing factor.
They will. Nintendo seems intent on making the 3DS the ultimate system for Zelda fans. Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Link's Awakening DX, Four Swords Anniversary Edition, Ocarina of Time 3D, the possible Majora's Mask 3D, the ability to play Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, the likely Minish Cap ambassador release, and the new 3DS-original Zelda that Aonouma said would come next after Skyward Sword. And that's if the 3DS only gets one Zelda... unlikely, since the SNES is the only main Nintendo system I can think of that only got one Zelda game. So you can probably add another one to the list. So if the 3DS is going to become the definitive Zelda system, why not go all out and bring the Oracle games, too?
I'm not sure Twilight Princess counts for Wii. It's a gamecube game, right? I guess there's Crossbow training... And the GBA didn't exactly get two games, unless you actually do count Four Swords, which almost no one got to play.
Though it does seem like you are right about it becoming the perfect home for Zelda. Here's hoping for the announcement of "New Legend of Zelda"
I don't always give myself signatures, but when I do, you just read it.
@pocket_arsenal: There never was a separate color version for DK '94. That screenshot comes from the Super Gameboy (it was one of those games that was Super Gameboy enhanced).

I remember playing some Harry Potter game on there, that was a decent RPG... Then there is Crystal. Plus the Oracle games. SMB is already released for NES, so I doubt we will see the Deluxe version.
Not to mention Link's Awakening is technically a Game Boy game. The GBC wasn't necessarily a great system. I'd say it's up to GBA games after the original GB seems like it's satisfied for the time being.
Nintendo - Where even first person shooters ooze creativity.
You're right about Link's Awakening, which is why I asked what I did earlier because i remember that too, so I double checked it. Except this is the DX version that was released for GameBoy Color they released on eShop. But yeah, think I mentioned this before, only thing I really ever liked was with the right light reflecting off, preferrably sunlight, all its colors were brought out flawlessly.
I wouldn't count Four Swords as a proper GBA Zelda, since the multiplayer-only play meant lots of people were unable to play it. And I have a hard time imagining it as a "proper" game anyways since it sounds like the object was to cooperate to solve puzzles to unlock the treasures and then compete to be the one to claim it.
First, they launched the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Second, they launched the 3D Classics. Third, they began beefing up the Game Boy games (compare the NES filler on the Virtual Console). Fourth, they worked on the Ambassador program (which they have yet to complete).
I'd have to say we'll be getting more GBC games when everything is up and running. Maybe next year we'll see more GBC games along with Game Gear and some more console ports.

There weren't that many great GBC games I know, which is probably another reason Nintendo arent releasing a lot of them, but there are plenty that I would love to play on the VC, which I would gladly pay for if they became available.

There are some average and bad games on the 3DS Virtual Console that have been released.
Depends on your opinion. Some may be boring but in my opinion they're all well made considering the platform. The GBC had a lot of messy titles that didnt feel fun playing at all. I just didnt like the graphic syles lots of developers started to use with GBC games - they didnt fit the system.
I want MGS Ghost Babel, Wario Land 2 and 3, and Zelda Oracle
