Banjo-

So I finally beat Yoshi's New Island 100%. Of course, the special stages were exhausting. The game itself is not as good as the original and the music is awful, but there is some interesting level design. Now I can continue playing The Legend of Zelda (1986) for the first time. I am using a guide for the dungeon order and getting the most important items. The NES entries are the only two I had not played and the first game, like the first Final Fantasy and other debuts, has more recurrent elements than I expected. It's a fun experience (with restore points) and a history lesson.

Whew....
I have experienced with 3DS catridge stucked on booting screen after I tapped on the game app icon. It happened to my three 3DS cartridge from all of my 3DS cartridge.
Fortunately, I have solved the problem by deleting their update and extra data file then I redownload their updates from 3DS eshop and when I tapped again their game icon, it created new extra data file and it worked.

Anyway, I played Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Yokai Watch 2 Bony Spirit for the maintenance.

The music was the biggest letdown for that game. Its got a charming artstyle and it plays fine, but its abysmal that they chose to make nearly every level's theme be some slightly different version of the same theme. Not sure if I can bring myself to play it again knowing that every song is almost the same.

@SteveDaSteve Right. I got 100% in every level and what made that possible was turning the volume all the way down.

@ Everyone

I've been a bit bogged down this week. 'helping out with a move. 'very busy day today and tomorrow.

So I was thinking I won't have time (or the patience) to hunker down with MM 3D this weekend.

But I might just hack away at Metroid Zero Mission on our DS if I have a bit of time this weekend.

I'm wishing everyone a good weekend! 'and hope you get some gaming in!

Just finished A Link Between Worlds again, in Hero mode... It has quite a touching ending now that I've revisited it. It also uses the 3D quite well, with a lot of emphasis on verticality. I used to dislike the item renting mechanic, but now I think its actually not that bad, though I would always end up getting enough rupees in the dungeon I was doing to just buy the next item I needed, I suppose the economy in that game is broken in that way.

Not sure what I'll revisit next, maybe New Super Mario Bros 2? I'd jump to Triforce Heroes, but I have nobody to play with.

Final Stats:

Times Defeated: 35

Went to a local used game store, I got Heroes of Ruin, Tom Clancy's Shadow Wars 3D, and Star Fox Guard. Star Fox Guard and Heroes of Ruin are pretty good!

I've heard Heroes of Ruin is a bit of a hidden gem. It's like Diablo/Torchlight/Minecraft Dungeons, with skill trees, stats, and gear. The 3D effect is nice, but it's a bit framerate-y. If only it could take advantage of the New 3DS' extra power... (If I'm not mistaken, a jailbroken 3DS can force this)

I've heard Tom Clancy's is also pretty good, haven't got to it yet.
