Topic: Upgraded Cave Story coming to eShop

It wasn't really a ripoff, and I have CS3D too, BTW.

But I will admit, I will be mad if it costs $5, includes all CS3D music, the 3D sprites, ETC. It's already confirmed that neither of those will happen, and I bet it will
Cost about $15 anyway. Still, CS3D is still a "Expanded" version of CS, with the extra secrets and all, but after this comes out I don't think anybody will play CS3D anymore.

..Unless you are like me and like collecting every item and going to every spot on the map (100%ing the game).

I don't think they are trying to make CS3D obsolete, but it probably will.

i dint really care for the grafhics in Cave Story 3d,i only got Cave Story 3d so i could have a portable Cave Story. I would have gotten the dsiware version for my 3ds if it had been available in eu. Am gonna sell my Cave Story 3d as soon as Cave Story+ has a realese date for eu eshop. Cave story 3d has great music so it woould be really nice if you could chose betwen the original and the 3d version music in Cave Story+, but i doubt it.

You can change between the remastered music and the original in the PC version of Cave story +. It could be in the 3DS version too.

It was given a G rating in australia, and has been sent to NOA for review about a week ago. According to people at E3, the game seemed to play as well as on PC. I bet it will come out on June 28th/early july at the latest (In NA at least).

Oh, and Nightsky was sent in just within the last day or so, and that's already confirmed for a world wide mid-july release.

And it can't handle the new music? That seems pretty unbelievable to believe. CS3D could play the music, and the only system I know that can't load the CS3D music is the mac version of CS +. I can understand the graphics, however.

CaveStory 3D look like a let down, but it has some killer metal remixes.
I'm looking forward to CaveStory+, I hope they don't over price it.

I think is has something with that it more easy to realese a eshop game if its smaller in file size. But i can be wrong.

Yep, Dragonslayer, ikki and crasy climber will be playable games in CS3D. I hope we get that in a patch!

Useless yet sad update: I contacted NIS America, the publisher of CS3D (retail) and they have no idea if there will be an update it seems.

The game was completed by the time the issue came out, but they held it back to shoe it at E3. (According to nicalis)

Yes, as along with nightsky, it was quietly playable. Most people covered nightsky only though, for some reason. Maybe Corbs will know more about it? Either way, it's pretty much rated and close to release now anyway, so it should be here before the end of july.

Gem could be rated, but you should know how is Nicalis with that sort of this like release dates. If you live in Europe you would know: nearly a year for Cave Story for WiiWare, no CS for DSiWare, VVVVVV after serveral months in US... The only thing they didint have a mess was CS3D, because that was with NISA's help.
