Shinobi is underrated and really fun... if you can relate to being an urban ninja, like me. Not super deep, but fun, ninja beatdowns! Same goes for Legend of Kage 2 on the DS!

I think that Mario Tennis open is a little underrated. Sure it's not the best Mario tennis game, but it had good online, and enough content. But don't buy it for a full $40

Call me crazy but I think Super Mario 3D Land is to 3DS as Super Mario Bros. is to NES.
Both are short, sweet, simple, and fun to play in short bursts. Many people don't realise that and just see 3D Land as cheap, but I do...

Theatrythm, Such a good game, hopfully the crappy pay er song system rubbish on the IOs version will get more people to buy the fantastic 3DS version
Rythm Theif, Their was tons of hype for it before it came out, and then, out of no where, Nothing :/
Plus, Tons more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Even if you have played through the game hundreds of times on N64, get this version, it is fantastic! It gave OOT a generation graphical boost. It looks like a gamecube title.

I don't own the 3DS version, but the original one was WAAAAAY over-rated.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

For this blasphemy you can turn in your Zelda card!

No. Unacceptable. You do not have enough cool points to afford that statement... and your username being associated with this great franchise... for shame.
As of this day, your cred is forfeit to me.

What's Farming Simulator like on the 3DS? Is it as lacking in the physics department as the PC sequel?

To be honest, after watching those videos, I have been kind of tempted to buy Farming Simulator 2013 on the PC - it looks kind of fun if you ignore the many youtube let's plays that consist almost entirely of horrific tractor road accidents - but I don't think I'd bother with the handheld version. What is it like on the 3DS?

It's relaxing fun. Never going to get a game of the year award, but I've got a good 30 hours out of it.

Hey that's something we both agree about, I loved Super Mario 3D Land a lot, enough to playthough it twice and also with Luigi. I hope Nintendo produce a sequel, but seeing as we've had a lot of Mario games this year, I bet we could have it in 2014 instead, i'd be happy with that at least.
Before 3D Land, I'd actually imagine what a 3D Mario Platformer with Super Mario Galaxy graphics would be like and then when I played 3D Land, I was amazed with the terrific work they did to realise my dream. Thank you Nintendo, you are truly one of the best companies in the entire world and you cater to your fans with the upmost of good intentions.

Indeed, they cater to fans who appreciate the games anyway. For that reason, I consider Mario 3D Land as an underrated 3DS game; though I know there are eShop games that also deserve more attention.

I totally agree with Rhythm Thief. I really enjoyed that game. My only major complaint is the poodle game.

  • Shadow Wars
A great strategy game. Kudos to Ubisoft for making a gold nugget among the craptastic 3DS launch games.
  • Mario Tennis Open
It's not the shallow pit reviewers bemoaned it for. In fact, it fits perfectly with Nintendo's philosophy of making video games: make games assessable and FUN. And I feel Mario Tennis Open delivers in that regard.
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
Controls are awesome and extremely precise. Man up, haters. The pain is worth enduring.
  • Code of Princess
Enjoyable combat and tons of content... not to mention, online multiplayer! If you ignore the framerate issues, this game is an amazing buy for your collection.
  • Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy
WHY THE HELL IS THERE NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS GAME MORE OFTEN? IT'S HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES EVER CREATED FOR THE 3DS! GREAT MUSIC, GOOD GRAPHICS, LOTS OF CONTENT, AND IT'S ONLY $19.99!
