I was thinking about the Wind Waker and the Triforce quest and it got me thinking about Zelda 1 and A Link Between Worlds...
In a Link Between Worlds we find out that Hilda is trying to steal Hyrule's Triforce because Lorule's was destroyed.
Now, why is it that Lorule was destroyed along with the Triforce, but the Hyrules of Wind Waker and Zelda 1 weren't?

I'm thinking it's because in Zelda 1 and WW the tri-force was just in pieces. Didn't Hilda completely obliterate the triforce out of existence?

Not her, her Ancestors, But is was still there, just blackened.

The Triforce in the first game was not destroyed. Just hidden in pieces.

Same with windwaker.

It can be broken and reassembled without ill effects.

... Like the Master Emerald...

Hmm, that's what I meant! Obviously it wasn't her who destroyed it..

Anyways.. yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe since it was blackened it just blackened the land of Lorule to reflect the state of Triforce. It seems to me that every Zelda games world is a bit broken and ridden with destructive forces until Link reunites the Triforce.

The Triforce of Lorule was effectively permanently destroyed rather than in pieces. It couldn't be brought back (except by another Triforce)

It's not that the LoForce was blackened. It was literally nonexistent, which is why it was represented as a shadow of the HiForce.
