I can't watch the video, what do you mean by linked content?

One the start screen, the options are:
New Game
Continue
Linked content

So woo

EDIT Sorry, but yeah, if you own the other Guild games you get exclusive stuff!

If you own one of the previous entries, you unlock something.

I just beat this game a few minutes ago, maaan I am sooo much dissapointed...

It took me around 2:30 hours to beat (without any walkthroughs) and It would have been less than 2 if I didn't get stuck on a stupid part (hooray for "hidden" object hunting). The ending was a twist but I predicted it about halfway through...

As for unlockables & extras:
1. The game has 20 "collectables" in the form of space leeches you have to exterminate. I got 19/20 in my first playthrough and returned back to get 20/20 quite easily. The leeches unlock crew member profile gallery. Though one profile is missing (middle one in the last row). Anyone got any clue on how to get it?
2. There is also an option in the main menu called [Alysra] but I am not sure how to unlock it... I am sure it has something to do with the silver ring. I placed it in the crew member's desk but nothing happened...
3. The "Linked Content" (I have all three guild 01 titles) is nothing but a short written backstory about the space leeches.

5/10 from me. Quite expensive for its duration, a lot of wasted potential. Puzzles are really mediocre and not creative at all! Graphics are bland. So sad since I love old school adventures...

I'm interested, but I'm waiting for NL's review.

Four $8 and about 2:30 to beat hours I think I'll pass on this game at least until it goes on sale and depending how much it goes on sale for.

Maybe Alysra contains the rest of this game's content?

I'll be pretty dissapointed if 2-3 hours is it... at least Liberation Maiden has a decent amount of replay value.

It sounds short, but it looks like the kind of game that's going for a unique experience (kinda like NightSky or Journey), and if that 2-3 hours is a memorable 2-3 hours, it could still be very much worth it.

I understand that that kind of design isn't for everyone (so I'm expecting mixed reactions), but if it earns enough recommendations, I'll pick it up.

I unlocked Alysra. Sadly, it's not another mode, just another short written story (no gameplay). The majority of the 2-3 hous is spent walking through corridors, enterring rooms and looking for hotspots you can interract with. Very few moments/puzzles were memorable. Nothing as rich as NightSky or other artsy games.

Cool, thanks for the info. I wonder if it is better to have all three or having just one seals the deal.

Just one, since the game uses "or"

I picked it up mostly just to support the idea behind the Guild series

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Well that was ok fun. It was a memorable 3 hour campaign for myself, and I felt it was worth it. Though, I would have felt better to pay a bit less for this game, but I'm not entirely disappointed either.

@Stokos How do you unlock that? I did the whole adventure, but I'm unsure of what I would need to do to unlock it.

Urgh how disappointing. Something to get on sale, I think.

@Lunapplebloom I'm not going to give you the answer but some hints. Near the end of the game you find a silver ring. There is a journal somewhere in the starship that says who the Captain wanted to give that ring to. You should also have located the six crew member's cabins, each cabin has a clue that gives away to which crew member it belongs (e.g. the one with the bottle belongs to the alcoholic). In order to get more background info on the crew members you need to have exterminated the space leeches to unlock their profiles. You need to place the silver ring on the desk of the crew member that the captain wanted to give it to. Have fun figuring it out

Just completed every extra's there is to this game in 3 hours. I still found satisfaction in the story and the eerie atmosphere even with the short length. It's not the best at what it does, hell, most of the puzzles are as simplistic as the flash escape games you can find on newgrounds, but I was still compelled to see everything through the end. I'd happily recommend this to anyone looking for a compelling adventure, just be sure wait for a sale.

when you say every extra, did you also "unlock" the 9th crew member profile in archives? (middle in third row). I am thinking that it is not possible to unlock it (for spoiler reasons)

By every extra, yes. I got all profiles, all 20 "trinkets", a backstory to one of the characters, and the linked extra. The puzzles themselves aren't even close to VLR levels of hard, It actually feels like a glorified version of those flash escape the room games.

One thing that I'm not clear on though is, the "communication" option. In the start, you are prompted to use the mic to read a phrase, but since I'm in a loud environment, it got disabled. What was it supposed to do anyway? I saw not part in the game where it could have been used.
