my system is just fine but the battery seems to be lasting less than usual...

The not so long lasting battery probably comes from MiiVerse. Most other applications work with street pass and swapnote (is it the name of the mailbox app ?) worked pretty much once every switch to sleep mode. MiiVerse on the other hand constantly watches new posts etc. Maybe it can be helped by switching off the MiiVerse notification function, so that it doesnt have to scan constantly for new posts. And if everything else fails, just switch off network mode :/

if that's how it works I gotta say: AWAY WITH THE BATTERIES, that's why there are chargers!

@GuSilverFlame My system rests in its charger pretty much all the time when im home, so it isnt really such a problem for me Im waiting for my first field test. Normally, a full day, out-house trip in standby doesnt drain a single third of the battery meter. If that changes, im a little bit annoyed
Okay well I noticed today that my 3DS XL's touch screen is frozen and the buttons are not working anymore. I hope I can fix it by reseating my battery. I don't need this problem right now.
EDIT: I have to send it in to get repaired. None of the buttons work on my XL anymore. And the touch screen doesn't work anymore. I can still see the icons, but can't select them with my finger or stylus.
Okay... now I see the big problem. I fully charged my 3DS then unplugged the charger. I got on 3DS Miiverse. My battery was going down pretty fast as I stayed on Miiverse.
Mine took a good 2 minutes to turn on and then took another 2 minutes turn off. This is super annoying as I hate keeping my 3DS on all the time, simply because it doesn't always get used. Hopefully Nintendo will fix it at some point because it's pretty irritating waiting for it to boot up and shut down. Even the eShop takes forever to launch.
