Me wants Hammer Bros. suit! That was my favorite suit in SMB 3! Maybe because it was payback time after all those years Hammer Bros. abused me in SMB, without any upward throwing projectile (yeah, you could hit them from underneath, but still).
Totally agree. I can already imagine Mario being covered in a bunch of tiny mustaches as body hair. You now have that mental image to enjoy.
On a more serious note, I really wanna see them work that chicken suit idea that they had for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I'm so curious about that. Suits are so fun in the Mario-verse.
@Tate24 Huh...those power ups look mighty cool. Here's hopin' I won't have to use 'em, but it's nice to see Nintendo thinking about their less skilled gamers and giving them the option for the more tough sections. Everyone deserves to see the end of a game.
@Tate24 It's definitely a possibility. As I've said before, it might just mean that Mario has the statue ability, and sometimes he randomly transforms in a statue version of Luigi.
If that is the case, I must say I'm totally open to that.
Hm.....I'm definitely thinking hammer bros suit, ice flower, but no to the hats from sm64, didn't really care much for the frog suit when on land, even the plain raccoon suit woulda been nice though considering the logo (Honestly i always liked that look better than tanooki), or maybe the cape, thugh that was smw. And I forget which game did it, but what about the lakitu cloud when you're able to knock him out of it, kuribo's shoe could be fun, too.

He or she could be foreign, you know... Anyhow, there are two "coming soon" slots on the SM3DL website in the powerup section so there's at least two. I would be surprised if it were another from SMB3 because that might step over the line from homage to overkill. I'm thinking it's going to be something from the modern games, such as the ice flower or cloud suit.
I'm predicting that the Frog Suit will return for some reason. I'm looking forward to the awesome rediculousness of Boomerang Mario.
I'm optimistic for the Frog Suit, actually. My biggest wish, right now, is the Kuribo's shoe. I will love Nintendo forever (I already do) if they put it in the game. I read somewhere that there are 4 suits that are going to be in the game (the Fire Flower and Propeller Block don't count). 1- Tanooki 2- Boomerang 3- Frog? 4- Shoe?
I also wonder what Statue Luigi indicates. Could it be that there are different variations of the Tanooki Suit? We've already seen 2 (the regular brown one and the shiny white one that makes you invincible). Thoughts?
I wouldn't hold my breath for more flying power ups people. The Tanooki Suit and the Propellor Block are enough already. More flying power-ups would make the game too easy. I hope they have atleast one more new power-up in this game. And I think there's a chance we will see a swimming power-up like the Frog or Penguin suit.
