I saw three main threads, one of which was locked, yet consistently relinked by the mods. So, to avoid further confusion, I'm going to make this the main thread.

So yeah, Story of Seasons...

Anyone have this game? What did you think of it?

Also, if you want to trade, this is the place.

I'm looking for Iron, as a matter of fact.

Isn't there supposed to be a demo on Eshop in NA? I can't find it at all... Lol

That's apparently the online thread now. Games usually have a main thread and an online thread.

The previous main thread got locked for some reason after I locked that thread you link, which Amiibo reopened and moved to the online gaming forum.

This one can be the main discussion thread. And that other one can be used to find friends and organize trades.

Thank you guys for finally getting this sorted out and making a main thread. I dunno how this whole time we managed to get three threads with none of them for main discussion.

I got the game a few days ago but was still trying to finish Alpha Sapphire and Mortal Kombat X story mode so now that those are done, I can focus on getting past the tutorial and into the game.

I will say that so far, I like the custom options for your player. Dunno if this was a thing in previous games but it's always appreciated.

I love it. Better than Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley (I'll never buy another Harvest Moon title again).

I'm in Winter Year 2 and am dating Iris. Do we have a trading thread? Since this is the main thread now we need to set one up. I've got seeds I can give you guys that won't be available until year 2.

I prefer this format over new Harvest Moon, though I must say, I have hopes for Natsume, unlike many other people....

Back to Story of Seasons, I love Iris! Such a cutie, and as I writer myself, I like her a lot~ <3

Seeing Angela's moeness in game made me briefly regret not going with the male but the bachelors are a pretty good crop. Favorite so far are Mistel and Raeger. Too bad it'll be quite a while before Nadi and Kamil are in the picture since they were two of the ones I initially liked on first glance.

Just picked this up... finally got out of the tutorial (my 3ds kept dying because I had to work and would forget to charge it). I'm playing as male so that I can get decent marriage options. I'm liking Iris and Angela so far. I love the way trade works this time around. Granted I only played the wii Harvest moons last gen so I don't know if this is new functionality or not.

If anyone needs anything in particular (that I have available) my 3DS FC is in my profile. I'll be using the trading thread.

So I'm getting to the stage where I'm having trouble putting this game down long enough to go to sleep. hehe

The days seem to last longer in this game, maybe it's just because I haven't planted a whole lot yet and only have one cow but I usually have all my chores done around 9 before I'm heading to town and trying to use up the rest of the day. It seems like one of the trade offs for this is that the crops take longer to grow. I also have more trouble finding twigs and pebbles to make into materials, had to spend a couple of days using an axe/hammer to break down a tree/large rock. The catching insects and small animals feature is a pretty neat and easy way to get some money and have gifts on hand. Oh and hallelujah, no more fishing just diving.

And again, I really appreciate the customization options. I just changed my hairstyle into something more "me". Gonna start saving up for that sewing studio because I really want to try out some of the outfits. The marriage candidates have "favorite" costumes they love to see you in and Mistel apparently likes maids and magical girls. Lucky for him, I do too! lol

you can fish as well I believe... but it is nice to have an alternative until the ability to procure the tool is available. Just built my kitchen..made it a priority so that i could work as long as possible. Just got a horse....can you pet it or does riding count as petting?

That's usually the case.

1- It is a "harvest moon". Just under a different name for reasons.
2- there's a goddess and a witch, both are little girls.
3- not at all like tomodachi life, not even somewhat close, it's harvest moon as you know it.

To explain the harvest moon situation further, before the last Harvest Moon game that natsume released (HM The Lost Valley), all previous harvest moons were made by the same company that made Story of Seasons (Marvelous, not Xseed), Natsume only translated and published them here.

They (Marvelous) decided to release this one independently without Natsume via Xseed. Natsume will continue to develop their own harvest moons, but they're unrelated to the previous games in the series.

I haven't met them yet but if it's like the previous HM game I played then you'll meet the witch and goddess later in the game just to advance a bit more and can largely ignore them beyond that.

Also I'm not sure if you're one of those Christians where something like this would bother you but just so you know, there is a transgender character in the game and "she" slightly references having a boyfriend in one conversation. There's no cursing, drug or alcohol references (that I know of), over-sexualized characters or anything else really objectionable happening.

Not sure if the character is actually transgender or just a feminine gay man (don't have the game yet), but a transgender person is a person that was born with a gender but considers themselves to be part of the other gender. It's not something they decide or do because they want to, it's just their nature.

It's a rather confusing subject, so if you wish to learn more, please use google.

So what to do about the wild animals.. how do I feed them? (still in spring of year one because no free time).

So I finally hit fall of year one, I have three vendors unlocked so far. It is a slow process because I can't find a MINE anywhere. I'm guessing it is still locked away?
