I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt the roster won't get bigger. When it comes to these kind of games, what is the feature that everyone looks forward to? New characters. Now I'm not saying the list will be bumped up to 50 or something crazy like that (if Sakurai's goal is for balance, that would be impossible), but to think nobody will be added is just silly.

Ah thanks. I really doubt it will get bigger: They were talking about refining the game, rather than adding new characters and gimmicks.

I didn't think anything, I repeated what Sakurai had previously said.
And there will be new characters, just at the expense of other characters.
There are plenty of lame ones that could be removed - Jigglypuff being a prime example.

hehehe...I when remember I was playing as mario and I got a mega mushroom. Then I did his forward mid-air attack. I hit jigglypuff so hard, he flew downwards, bounced off the floor , flew up-wards, then got upper screened K-Oed. I loled soooo hard. XD Really wish I have a way to record gameplays....

Something for SSBU - MiiVerse screenshot and short video sharing! Maybe Nintendo can add a function to record your last 6 seconds of gameplay at all times, ready to be uploaded at the press of a button...

OK, it's strong. It's still a rubbish character that's only in the roster because it was in the Pokemon cartoon 15 years ago.
I could think of over 100 Pokemon that would be feasible, better characters.
