Topic: Spotpass servers maintenance

Hi,
Recently I noticed that I cannot get any data using spotpass, I get error 004-3003. I reached out to nintendo but I got only response that I should wait because there is maintenance going on. When pressed how long will the maintenace last, support said that they don't know. This is happenning for 2 weeks now so that's probably the longest maintenace I ever heard about
Does any of you have similiar problem? Maybe you got more luck with getting info from nintendo support?

@liresn You could contact them again to add that the feature hasn't worked for two weeks now. Getting a different rep could also yield a fresh look, which may, or may not, give a better answer. Also add, if that rep can't answer, could they check with their boss?

Since it is the end of 3ds is out of production, I wonder if Nintendo would want to kill the feature to free up their resources, or block a security concern.

Nintendo Support says two things can block SpotPass: parental controls, and disabled wifi. If someone is thorough at Nintendo, they'll ask about those two things. Don't be insulted. Ruling out everything is how solve things that people are stuck on.

I didn't know about parental controls. I checked that, unfortunatelly this wasn't the cause but thanks for the tip
I too wondered about discontinuing some of nintendo's services but it seemed so strange to do this silently and that was the reason I contacted support. I'll update if anything comes up.
