Topic: So, Pokemon Bank was removed from the Japanese eshop?

I read this through Serebii's facebook.

It seems the new pokemon apps released yesterday in Japan caused a lot of problems to nintendo Network due to the huge amount of users using them, which prompted Nintendo to remove them temporarily and push the American and European releases further back.

Is it true? Wow.

Pokémon is extremely popular in Japan so.. I'm not surprised.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I think it's several issues @edhe . This influx of activity didn't help though...

Yeah, new WiiU owners, even more new 3DSs around... And then this.... Every single person with Pokemon X and Y and even others without them in Japan downloading and using the same app.... All at the same time.

Are you saying an extra 100,000 users brought Nintendo's online infrastructure to a complete standstill?

@edhe Nintendo's online infrastructure struggled for many reasons earlier.... the influx of new Wii U owners is one of them!!!

I'm not singling out Nintendo, by the way. Even steam went down on Christmas day, and I had trouble with uPlay earlier today (thankfully resolved).

Anyway, let's wait for those sale figures. The figures in Japan may have been rising steadily, but not so much in the West.

...sounds like there are a lot more new 3DS users than Wii U users, though...

@Gioku Of course. The 3DS is cheaper, has better bundle deals, and has an incredible library... especially in Japan. I really wanna see how the Wii U sold in America because of Christmas.

This is why we can't have nice things. My event mons will just be collecting dust. BTW it appears that the poke company lied when they said cheats couldn't be sent. On GTS I seen lots of shiny legends and I doubt there not many japanese players who have time enough to soft reset like nice people do...

I'm hoping the reason their taking so long is because Nintendo is still updating they're servers and are adding ways to stop hacked mons, but I still wish they would hurry,I really want to transfer some of my mons

These could be just cloned. In the third gen it was very easy to clone en masse.

yeah it wasn't even needed to corrupt the save data so it was not only easy but safe too(did that a lot. there was a time I had 360 Master Balls, 6 Gardevoirs, 10 Metegross 5 Shiny Geodudes 9 weird Blazikens that used to avoid all Earthquakes and 500 Rare Candies and never even once used a cheat)
