Hey guys,
I have a question.
On June 23rd, I will be upgrading my 3DS into a New 3DS XL.
Frankly, I'd like to start fresh with this system. I'd like to go digital.
I don't buy many games, but the games I buy, I would rather always have on the system then have cards in my pocket.
Is this a good idea?

I sold all my games in January to go completely digital on both my Wii U and New 3DS, and I must say that it feels really good. I love not having to change discs / cartridges, I love how most games are cheeper on the eShop than retail, and I love being able to download the games whenever I like. I haven't had any problems so far.

Well, it's up to you. Personally, I always go physical with Nintendo games because they retain their resell value (you can't sell a digital copy) and they NEVER go on sale. That said, if you never plan to sell your games (or have a collection) then digital makes complete sense. Even though I go physical copies with Nintendo I'm 100% digital on PC and it's really convenient.

I don't think it makes much sense to dedicate yourself to digital or physical. On 3DS, when the prices are the same, I'll go digital, but otherwise, they are close enough that price is the deciding factor.

Ask that question to people who were customers of OnLive, I am sure they will tell you what they think of digital only games.

Physical is cheaper and doesn't run you out of space. Just get a cartridge case and you'll be good.

In the case of 3DS, you should have at least one physical game (to keep the cartridge slot occupied).

Anyway... It's really up to you. I have been buying mostly digital because it's convenient... But I wouldn't reject physical games,

Physical takes up less space plus you get to have the cool cases and such.
Not to mention you can trade those games in once a new platform comes out, digital you cant get money for them.

I decided to go all digital a few years back and I'm glad I did. I'm the type of person who likes either all my games to be physical, or all be digital (obviously not including games that aren't on digital platforms). Yes, at times it can be more expensive... But if you buy a game on release date, the price should be the same as physical.

It really depends on whether you want to sell the games or not later on. I have personally have gone all digital on both my New 3DS and my Wii U. Being able to play what you want, when you want is fantastic. You will need larger Memory Card for sure. I would assume now that all digital content you have will be tranferable to future Nintendo systems.
