Ferrothorn is incredible. I don't have one at max potential since I'm satisfied with my shiny female, but even then she can TANK. There have been so many times where I though she was done for but managed to pull through. One of my top ten favorites in all honesty.

Exactly. I came across one online and I had my Eelectross (full IV/EV Sp. Attack) use Flamethrower, and there was barely a scratch on it. Sure I didn't have STAB, but that's still impressive.
Though against an actual strong Fire type, you better get Ferrothron out of there.

@WingedSnagret Electross is Water Electric, right? I woulda threw out a properly ev trained Fire Pokémon like Charizard and just woulda used Inferno or Fire Blast on Ferrothorn. Charizard would be holding that item that boost Supereffective moves.
